If I was to live without any weights in a remote area mine would be 45 degree decline pushups, chinups and pistol squats,no weight needed and still build a nice and functional physique😊

I used to workout hard in my 20s, these days taking it easy with a 16-kg kettlebell. I came to having only 3 execises (basically, that follow a push-pull-legs structure) - back squat, push ups (or I'd do kettlebell press if I had a bench) and row. And to finish it off some kind of clean and jerk for more pulling and shoulders.

Funny Elliot hulse did a similar video explaining the best 4 exercises ten years ago. Since that day I still do front squats deadlifts pull ups and dips and I also do bench press and military press and curls.

Today I have amazing body because I listened and trust Eliot hulse. The gains come after years and years of working. With 31 years I still have gains and new scores.
Deadlfit 200kg
Frontsquat 140 kg.
Dips 50kg
Pull-ups 50kg
Military press 95kg
Bench press 160kg.
Curls 60kg

5x5

If icould only do 4 exercises this would be my list.

-Barbell Back Squat
-T-bar Row
-Standing Barbell Overhead Press
-Push Up

Elliots list could also work. I would just switch dips for Standing Barbell Overhead Press. Dips really target the front delt and lower chest. Standing Barbell Overhead Press uses allot more muscles that dips do not use like the side delts, traps, a bit of rear delt and even some glutes if you do it corectly. Also having both Deadlift and Barbell Back Squat in your list would mean that you have two posterior chain exercises. In my opinion that is a bit redundant if you can only have 4 exercises total. If you can have five execrises though i would keep the Deadlift but add the Front Squat. Front Squat is an interiour chain exercise that is just like the overhead press good for your posture and mobility if you use the front rack position.

The only difference with my workout is 176lb kettlebell swing instead of deadlift. And instead of squat I Bulgarian split squat on elevated squat wedge with 80lb, 40lb, 30lb weight vests, and 2 set of ankle weights tied like hanging necklace while I hold on to 2 seat booths for balance

I would like to add one exercise Alot of people forget.. it's definitely not the bench press while the bench press is a good one I think the better pressing movement that helps me feel strong is, the standing over head barbell press .. that exercise is very humbling and definitely more difficult standing then sitting ..it has so many benefits and builds your body strong as well ..

Yo Elliot, I’m sticking to the original list, because I love front squats BUT I like warming up with 5 minutes of backwards treadmill walking with the treadmill turned off and driving with the toes. This is also from the ATG exercises, and my knees feel incredible when I am squatting!
