Wow you're super cool. I'm half Mamasa from my mother side, even I never get myself to visit the village because of the discouraging of broken roads. It always like this almost every year. The government has a lot work to do to improve the transportation access meanwhile it's such a huge different here in South Sulawesi, even small villages are mostly accessible by decent roads.
My parents prefer to visit Toraja which is my father's hometown untill now I'm in my 30s. Your video encourage me to make Mamasa 1 of my bucket list which soon I wish I could achieve.

I have just really enjoyed watching your video, and think it one of the best I have ever seen on U Tube. Your empathy and respect for this culture is wonderful. And the quality of your filming/editing surprising. I speak as a fellow traveller, who has enjoyed travelling to remote areas since the mid '70's, and. I to am sad to see how the environment is destroyed by logging and palm oil plantations (mono culture) which enrich the priveliged few and rob the local people of the natural world, which they are entitled to. I only hope your film does not encourage hordes of tourists looking for cheap thrills, junk food and selfies and turn it into another Thailand. Kind regards.

Why did he feel sad seeing palm oil plantations? Did he expect we cook using olive oil all the time? I swear these mat salehs are so judging thinking they are always right every time.
