I raised a baby squirrel who fell out of her nest around 4 weeks old. I kept her warm with a hot water bottle, they need to be at 99 degrees. I fed her goat’s milk from an eye dropper every 2-3 hours. After a couple of moonths l started taking her outside for tree climbing practice and eventually l would take her to my backyard to a blue spruce tree where she would spend the day being a squirrel and in the evening l would go call her and she would come to me and hop into the shoe box l used as her nest and l would bring her in for the night until one evening she did not come when l called her. She is now a little over a year old and she visits me almost daily. I leave a plate of seeds on my dining room table and l open my backdoor in the morning and she walks in past my 3 dogs, sometimes even parkouring off one of my dogs head, and hops on my table to eat and then leaves. She is very playful, she will hop in my hand and spin around my arm and gently bite my fingers. There are times when she jumps on my back, head, chest or shoulder, l abSOULutely love her and am honored to call her my squirrel girl.

A loving and abuse free relationship combined with an animal appropriate feeding regime is absolutely top of the list in creating a genuine bond.

I walked with wild bears at 15 years old, I'm 55 now when I was 15 i did door to door sales. Well I was walking down a road in the middle of the woods at night ,when a black bear came out of the woods and just started walking along with me for almost 2 hours about 4 feet away from me, we talked up a storm, then he just went on his way..that's after happening to me twice sense and with moose and birds land on me. I use to have when I lived in Toronto, skunks , raccoons, chipmunks, squirrels,blue jays all come to my house most of them would come right in and take over..lol
People don't realize they are just as intelligent as we are, more so I believe.

I tell you all right now, that all animals are as smart or smarter than us. They have the same thoughts,feelings and emotions as we do ,they feel anger,love, pain all that. They the same as us..only better

Had a bond with 2 snakes for 27 years. Not sure why animals having emotions and bonds is still questioned. They develop based on mutual needs

The hyenas are huge !! When usually seen against other animals they seem reasonably medium sized, but aginst Kevin they are obviously way bigger that I had appreciated

This interviewer bothered me with the lions and especially the buffalo. She was making sudden movements with her hands in front of the lion then puts her hand in the buffalo fence after being told not to do that.

Kevin Richardson is incredible! But he did say he’s been hospitalized 5 times by hyenas! I loathe them and so do Lions!

Yes, until they are really hungry and there is no food.

Always emphasizing the "dangerous" situations that certain animals "could" create in this environment, rather than focusing on the genuine relationship between animals and humans and why that doesn't' happens... kinda limits the potential for sharing a wealth of information and knowledge.

Oh! Gross! You let her drink that nasty water? I raised 10 orphaned geese as a kid. I built them swimming pools, cut tender grass for them, let them sleep in my arms as I held them and they pushed their heads into my neck…and they would pick the sleep from my eyes in the morning… so gentle and loyal. One thing I never did…let them drink water from a scummy bowl. Their bowl was clean, their food was clean, their water was clean!! You dishonor your friendship

Having a pet polar bear is like having a bull shark in your swimming pool.

Maybe I have too much common sense to be sticking my face in a bear's face or mouth...just asking for trouble I think. Animals have emotions and all you need is for a massive animal like that to get cranky for a second and you'll wish you were parking cars instead!
