“I know now why you cry, but it’s something I can never do.” Arnold gets flack for being a horrible actor (which I’m aware of but don’t agree) but as a Terminator he nails it every time, and this specific line delivery and scene is one of my all time favourites in film. Perfection

I was just thinking about this scene today and how much hatred I have against the T-1000.

The way John says "stay with us, it'll be okay" is so heartfelt as a plea! It kills you when the terminators response is a definitive " I have to go away"

Halfway through the handshake terminator launches Sarah into the steel then exclaims “loooong con, bitch! I’m a bad terminator too!” and holds up two fingers to indicate the literal number 2 then credits roll

A machine that makes self sacrifice, against it's own self preservation logic, to protect humans and the future. That truly says a lot. Too bad most HUMANS would not have made that sacrifice, even to save their own mind and future. THAT is where we are failing as a society.

I hope AI turns out to be like him.
