A good, sensual film. Vincent Perez speaks so good Ukrainian in this movie. In addition to his excellent acting talent, he clearly has a talent for languages. I thought he had some Ukrainian roots.

This movie reminds me of Wuthering Heights.

Unique and unforgettable. Hauntingly beautiful. A tragic love story - the spell of which lingers long after it's seen.

I still remember renting this from Blockbuster as a teenager, soon after it was released on VHS, and loved it so much that I bought the soundtrack on CD and played it all the time. Ah the 90s!
