Don't get a jumbo transit far to big for normal stuff can't park em in a normal car parking bay and they rot .....don't need anything bigger than a lwb transit

so annoying when there is a dead end road with space not causing any trouble and you cant park, i suppose its just money and councils cant be bothered and its cheaper to put a sign up

Adam, I understand about putting yourself out of your comfort zone on getting the van. Remember that personal growth can on really be achieved if you push yourself a little. Nothing grows properly in the shade. I struggled to start my channel, because of fear of the unknown, now it’s a little easier.

Councils are not legally allowed to just put signs anywhere they want. Check the road traffic act in that area. If done incorrectly just ignore them

Van owners did it to themselves at Scarborough, I've spent the odd night there going further up North or coming back down again. Pre Covid people didn't take the pi55, but over the last couple of years it changed as van ownership became more and more popular. The last time I was there just before Easter last year it was like an encampment, people had full camping gear out, and they didn't stop at tables and chairs.....Firepits, BBQ's, Tents, even saw one van with a washing line out. Self inflicted misery......

that is the difference between england and european travelers sites.i live in germany and the people who live in vans move on after a couple of days but i was in england last year with my vw t4 and a lot of places looked like gypse camps

i was in filey last night but stayed on the site on the brigg it's that bad now on that coast for park ups.

Hi Adam, I'm an automotive welder to trade and I'd run a mile from an old transit mate. Literally the whole van below the plastic trim straps on the side rots.

If you have your heart set on it I'd suggest getting under it with a pokey screwdriver and check the following.

Inner sills full length.
The step panels (from underneath)
The outer sills, especially at the steps.
The front arches inside and outside. Especially the narrow section inside at the back of the wheel.
The chassis legs in the front arches especially. Particularly infront of the brake flexi hoses.
The rear body crossmember that's underneath at the back doors.
All the chassis outriggers.
The step at the sliding door.
The sliding door itself at the bottom, along with the rear doors too.

yea mate go for it u wont regret it ive had a a transit very reliable but was a old 2002 still miss that van came along way saved it from the scrap yard plenty welding and painted all up looked great when done as for conversion u can do it nice and not for big money i did mine on a tight budget majority came from facebook marketplace units n so on but main thing is always believe in urself you can do anything when u put ur mind to it mate

all city that stopping over parking are going to become ghost towns no revenue councils are planning parkup for permanent places to park up so then they have your reg everything about you this country is trying to control us all to how we live spend our free time etc if people dont start to stand we all stuffed

Park where you want its our roads that we pay for and if they move you on head for the local streets and park up. Soon the sign's will go missing and machine getting filled with foam if this keeps up. Good video lad

Some lovely spots on that Yorkshire coast. Shame about the way park ups are being closed. Rest of Europe encourage people to get out and explore their countries. Here we just ban everything.
