The thin apartment building in the beginning of the video cuts through the wind and has less air resistance so a weight on top to keep balance with this building sway makes a lot of sense for additional safety. I like this first building because of how narrow it is. I find the black building with its foundation on the outside curving inward to be intimidating.

It’s funny how the most important display of wealth of the ultra rich of the past — the huge mansions , have been replaced with sterile invisible apartments hundreds of meters up in the air out of sight in these skinny towers.

I personally like some of the Billionaires Row buildings (except 432 Park Ave.), but I’d like for NYC to cap the amount of supertall buildings built and tax residents of these skyscrapers appropriately (look up property tax categories in NYC; it’s crazy how little they pay).

Do “air rights” allow you to own the sky, as well as the land ? I think this may be why people resent these buildings.

The "set back" form makes no sense when you get to a certain height. The taller the tower the less that makes sense. NY needs to update building codes.

Interesting how different people are. I wouldn't live in a skyscraper even if I could afford it, seems so precarious and Im not even afraid of heights. I want to be able to open my windows, and bail out of one safely if the need arrives. I reckon Id have constant dreams about falling in a tall building.

I would love to live in one of these buildings. Why not? People who refuse are just lying.

I cant afford any of this apartments but i wouldn't want to live there. Beautiful views but thats about it. Inconvenient AF. I love my space, i love my car, never i want to live in NY.

432 Park is a Building involved in Huge Law Suits a s many tenants unhappy, the holes in the building cause Huge wind noise.

After 911 all I see is 3 targets in a row. Miss one.. No problem you may hit the next. Yes it is a dark thought but that is just my first impression of sky scrapers now. Especially toothpick skyscrapers. So many rich people in 1 place has to end in trouble.
