I was born in the wrong era. When California and America was in its peak. Now we're bottoming out. Tent/Poop Cities everywhere. Good God, what a toilet this country has been turned into.

Something that I’ll always miss is the color, the cars were vibrant and unique, the people outfits were bursting in personality. LA sadly rarely as that charm anymore, but it is still nice to watch the past

I was born in the Viet Nam era of the 60’s and I would give about anything to have lived in those times of the glory days of kindness and living the American dream . The FABULOUS FIFTIES !!
When families were whole and life was good !!!

How this place has degraded.

It’s an odd realization that the expressway system and it’s architecture hasn’t changed at all over the years. At the end of the video, if the cars didn’t give it away, I wouldn’t have been able to tell you if it was the 50s or now. The expressways are built exactly the same way 70 years later.

LOOK AT THOSE FREEWAYS! They were brand new and TRAFFIC MOVED at a very steady pace and faster than you can walk which is about what it's like today. You see kids, these were the "HAPPY DAYS."
