My family is originally from Montenegro 🇲🇪 in this region of former Illyria. We were always very tribal , small clans that ruled over their own small regions. I have found certain historical texts from Roman Legionaires and generals that gave strict edicts to the commanding officers to slay any men and boys during the conflict, and not take them as prisoners of war or slaves. The romans claimed it was better to behead them on the spot, because the illyrians (modern-day slavs) would not serve anybody, or allow themselves to become slaves, they would fight to the death rather than submit. If you've ever visited the balkans and spent a considerate amount of time there, you would witness this for yourself. We have our very own traditions and strong willed nationalism that goes back centuries in time. We still maintain that same mentality to the current day. We have a very rich history , that many of us have been educated about, but that the majority of the world, and major scholars seem to have purposely forgotten.

one thing thou, when you use images to illustrate what you are explaining with words, do you have any idea how Illyrians dressed for war. You have represented them with completely different clothes and symbols. It makes you present yourself as not a serious historian or teller of the history of Europe. The main symbol of Illyrians was the symbol of Sun. The helmet was not that different from the helmet of Romans. What you have presented there is not even close to what an Illyrian soldier looked like. Croats ruled the whole Bosnia from the 6st century, so they probably mixed with Illiryans and created the Croatian Kingdom. Serbs later came to the area of Belgrade. The best example would be the Croatian win over the Bulgarian empire in that area around the year 900, Serbs had no army, they were in fewer numbers at the time etc... While Croats had a well disciplined army ruling over Bosnia and Herzegovina and nowadays Croatia for a long period of time. Hence thats why the map looks like its eating Bosnia.
