I love my Helix and have no particular desire to look elsewhere. That’s not because I’m a hater of the other products, actually far from it. I think modelling now offers us endless options to play how we want and the competition in the market is good for us all. Anybody that wants to keep playing a valve amp, good for you too.
I suppose the thing that annoys me about the purists is saying things like ‘it sounds digital’. ‘It doesn’t sound like a real plexi’. Even though most people have never even seen a real plexi, let alone played through one!

None of them sound like a real JCM 800. They just don't. I have 2204 & SC20h. I think Kemper is closest still not the same as the real thing. Buy the SC20h Marshall. Easy to carry pure tube Marshall tone. Plug and play no messing around with buttons, pre sets. .

Didn’t want to like the Kemper because it’s a PITA to use, but it sounded outstanding to me.

I am using Neural a lot in the studio and have great results, I've had Helix for a long time, but live I always go back to Kemper it is just unbeatable live.

This was great I just wish in the description you put what it went into. Was it direct to a interface, a frfr cab (if so which) etc cuz that can impact the sound a lot and I was super curious. My QC and Kemper sound very different through my daw and monitors than my frfr cab, That said I think QC and Kemper are still great but I was very impressed with the new Fender unit. The form factor and features are fantastic. Dead on with the comment of neural getting a similar update at the end of the video from Pete. I felt the same.

Is anyone else wondering which company the Captain has financial interests over and above selling all product lines? I wonder sometimes. I am a simple minded monkey who can easily be taken to the cleaners with new toys. I am wondering, what rig is something that won't need upgrading for 10 years. The idea we are to change out our rig every 3 to 5 years is just ridiculous.

The kemper is unlimited with the app there is hardly nothing you cannot adjust to your liking. The effects have about anything you could think of with no need of a pedal board.Thousands of profiles from any amp you could think of. Can't afford a dumble amp, get a kemper. Also is constantly updated with new features.

If I was only considering this video, I would buy:
1.QC
2. Fender
3. Kemper
4. helix
5. headrush
But I have played on many of them and many others, I know that I can have satisfactory sound on many devices.
Ps. Fender looks like will be soon the best in the class because of great sound of course, handling, size etc but fender needs an application for tablet/phone and plenty users to exchange presets etc...

Helix + ToneFactor XR Impulse responses is chef’s kiss. It’s the continuous updates, improvements and additions for me.

Just bought the tonex. Very impressive but a bit fiddly. Great budget option. Although doesn,t have a lot of the fx but as an amp capture its excellent.
