Like @WatchAdvisor said in his review, the Daytona needs to change the dial graduations to match the movement frequency. Only then will it become the perfect chronograph.

Open caseback? Like a guy with a "Dad Bod" taking his shirt off. Looks better covered. Not a highly finished or beautiful movement that you want to show off.

Die neue Generation der ikonischen Daytona finde ich sehr gelungen, insbesondere die leichte Vergrösserung des Gehäuses ist ein sinnvoller Schritt. Sehr schön ist auch der Sichtboden, wenngleich zunächst exklusiv für die Platinversion, darf man dennoch davon ausgehen, dass bald weitere Modelle folgen. Möglicherweise wäre auch eine Doppellösung im Sinne vieler Kunden, also ein zusätzlicher Boden aus dem Gehäusematerial, welcher unkompliziert austauschbar wäre. Und viele Kunden würden sich sicherlich über eine Umrüstlösung für ihre bestehenden Modelle freuen, auch um dem Begriff "Perpetual" eine noch tiefere Bedeutung zu verleihen. Schade finde ich hingegen den Entfall der Gelbgold-Daytona mit grünem Blatt - vielleicht kehrt diese ja eines Tages in der neuen Generation zurück...

Oh man that metal edge around the bezel is a huge issue for collecting dings and wear marks. IMO….it adds nothing and becomes a liability.
The biggest “fail” is the beautiful organic case lines have been butchered into a now blocky supercase look? The 11 series Daytona has now become incredibly special and “THE” SS Daytona.

For some reason that’s not my thing anymore, sold all my sport watches 2 years ago (thankfully;). I bought a simple breitling b09 dress watch, and I am happy, and I have a lot of money left from that. I only need 2 watches now.

Great news. It will make the older models drop in price even further.

Another year passes and another bunch of new Rolexes are released that none us can buy.
