This is the most unrealistic test, for example in cinebench you didn’t show total score which is the most important, you manipulated data by showing only single cores, it is possible that one of them way ahead in overall performance but weaker on single score, but we don’t know the numbers because you manipulated them in every test

I just want a thin and light 14in laptop with a 7840 under 3lbs.. does that exist yet?

I’ve owned both. I stuck with the 7840hs. 780m alone is a beast iGPU that can hold its own. Both are very close.

Can anyone give suggestions, i'm looking for new laptop. Which one should i take between this 2 chipset. Mostly used for GIS like autoCAD, rockscience slide 2, arcgis manifold and petrel. My old i5 8th gen seems couldn't handle those apps anymore, been using it for 6 years now.
I never tried amd, so i'm curious about its performance running gis program.

I'm currently in the market for a new laptop for video editing, college and some light gaming. I've set my eyes on the Lenovo Ideapad Pro 5, which either comes with a 13700h or a 7840hs alongside 16 gigs of ram and either an RTX 3050 or 4050. This video was very helpful.

Unfortunately lenovo only brings intel to my country. And that goes for dell, hp, asus, samsung....

I got the Aorus 17H back in March. It has the i7-13700H. It's a beast! Very good gaming performance. I don't do any content creation, so I can't comment there. My previous laptop has the Ryzen 7 5800H and it blows it away in all respects

Woah, 15k at 40w while doing 17k at 100w. That’s barely an improvement for slashing more than half the battery duration. Seems like 40w is the sweetspot.

I got the legion slim 7 with 7840hs,32gb ram and 4060 , 3,2k screen , it cost 320 euro less than the intel version , I'm loving it too much and after seeing your video I'm happy that i didn't spend that 320 euro for the Intel version , if both had had the same price or Intel was a little less expensive I would have gone with the Intel, but 320 euros was a lot and AMD does almost everything I wanted to do, except that it is true that on Web browsing mostly on Chrome you feel that It's a little laggy and not that snappy but all in all it is an excellent computer, fast and very silent, I have never heard its fans working except when I was doing benchmarks. On R23 single core in performance mode I got 1751 and multicore 17400. I would say excellent.

So it is possible to get this good efficiency also with Intel. That means the next Intel4 should be very good, there are many improvements on this front, besides the much better node. Things should get very interesting after december (actually a bit later, to also get products with those CPUs).

I just really want to know gaming laptops in 2023 are how much of power efficient than a pc. I just want to know if the electricity costs are gonna be worth in india. Also which processor performs better at higher room temperatures as I am in India and that effects thermal throttling alot. I can't even imagine the 20*C room temperature here xD unless I want to drill a hole in my pocket

Can you review the new asus tuf a15 2023 with rtx 4050

Hi Jarrod, I would really like to see a review comparing the ASUS TUF Gaming A15 FA507 and the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 FX507 or at least just a review of one of them. Preferably the lower spec ones with RTX4050s and for CPUs something like 12 gen 12700H for the intel one and Ryzen 7 7735HS for the AMD one.

Hi Jarrod, please do a similar styled comparison between Intel i7 13700hx and AMD ryzen 7 7745hx both found in Lenovo Legion pro 5 and pro 5i 2023.

"Slim" and "gaming" shouldn't go in one sentence, at least if you are looking for your PC to last at least for 5 years

To summarize the video: AMD is better than Intel when your laptop is on Eco-Mode, but Intel is better than AMD on Turbo mode.

All those power and efficiency cores for intel gave me a false pretense that it will save battery life like apples mchips and give good performance with the P cores but that is not the case! Amd all the way!

I thinking amd high temp are probably due how zen4 was design. When zen4 launch, they mentioned that the cpu will try to hit 95c. Which is also the controversy around zen4 is hotter even though consuming less power than intel. Also zen4 supposed to be more dense than intel. Which is also why it is hotter. But if you were to account power/watt = heat. Then intel probably has better cooling.

The laptop costs about MYR 6880.00 here in Malaysia. Convert that to USD, that's about 1,455 dollars.
