Tubeway Army Orchestra.
ОтветитьTHE FIRST JET AIRLINER I EVER FLEW ON WAS AN AMERICAN AIRLINES CONVAIRE 990 IN JUNE 1962...FROM PHOENIX SKY HARBOR AIRPORT TO NEW YORK IDLEWILD AIRPORT...BUT MY FAVORITE JET HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE BOEING 707
ОтветитьBeautiful sound of pure power. Puts me to sleep
ОтветитьFour jet engines that sound rich and bold like a classic music orchestra 😍😍
ОтветитьDude I cried at full power. Dont judge me, lol.
ОтветитьThat's a loud pupper.
ОтветитьMy mom was a flight attendant on AA 707’s the sound is majestic 😊
ОтветитьA real turbofan. Used also in the McDonnell Douglas DC-8.
ОтветитьSome sound. I saw an Aer Lingus 707 take off from Shannon in the 1970s. Some sound all right.
ОтветитьCowl flaps opening up and engines to takeoff thrust always gets me with this video!
ОтветитьThat spool up is nuts,,,
ОтветитьIt’s been 55 years since I was on a 707 LOL!
ОтветитьRemember flying on these planes as a kid thanks for the memories .
ОтветитьOMG 🤯
ОтветитьLove it!! Such a distinct and pleasing sound!! Thanks, Patrick!
ОтветитьWhat airport was this at?
ОтветитьInsane noise. What gets me is the angle of the wing leading edge slats. Almost vertical.
ОтветитьI remember taking TWA 707s to Las Vegas during the late 1970s. These classics are so impressive! They have the most beautiful and impressive sounding engines! These are certainly collectors classic planes just like classic cars!
ОтветитьWhat are those squares around it?
ОтветитьWhat you cannot see on this video is the immense ammount of fumes coming out of the engines. As a teenager I spent hours at Heathrow on the roof of the Queens Building watching the planes and the smell of aviation fuel was overwhelming. Back in those days you always knew when you were near an airport due do this smell. I'm also old enough to have flown on every model Jet aircraft made by Boeing including the B720B. Also Lockheed Tristar, DC8, DC10, DC9, BAC111, Trident, Airbus A300, A310, A320 So I have a few airbus models to go but I've flown on most of the Classic jets.
ОтветитьMore than beautiful ❤
ОтветитьThis sounds like a hair dryer on Turbo speed it sounds fantastic lan west
Ответитьmiss them i miss my father who was an aeronautical engineer on them
ОтветитьI remember watching Air Force One land at Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1977 when President Carter visited the city and at the time, you could park at the end of the runway perimeter fence and watch planes land and take off. At the time Air Force One was a 707.
ОтветитьThought it was turbojet engines,
ОтветитьATC: How much run way do you need?
707: Yes.
Where/when was this filmed?
ОтветитьOh my goodness 😍
🎶 I've got chills, they're multiplying... 🎶
Music to my hears. ❤❤❤
ОтветитьThe intake ports on the sides, is that a bypass or letting more air into the compressor or fan?
ОтветитьThis plane is a real air truck.
ОтветитьI love the sound of turbo fans in the morning
Ответить……flew many 1000’s of miles’, & hours’, in QANTAS’ Boeing 707-338C’s, to various parts of the world in the ‘70’s. Loved it all, & have a flight log. Have been an ‘avgeek’ since 13!
Nothing beats flying in a big, beautiful jet!
So now is there any B707 left or is it like completely disappeared, and what abt this plane which is being shown in this video, is this plane stored or scrapped
ОтветитьInsane sound, love it.
ОтветитьJT9D’s sound like this but just about an octave lower . Real deal sounds
ОтветитьThis is the intro from "Silver Machine" by Hawkwind!
ОтветитьDon't know how many times I've watched the fully loaded KC-135s take off from beside the runway at RAF Mildenhall...... after they lined up on the thousand foot overrun, wound up the jets, they threw the water to them and started the take off roll. Never heard a thundering roar like that ever since. As they rolled past us, throttles to the wall, the roar would vibrate my breast bone! And they took up every bit of that runway!!! 1976ish. Never forget it.... great memories!!!! ....
ОтветитьI flew on the 707 when I was 16 during the early 1970s. I flew from Washington Dullus International Airport to LAX.
ОтветитьI feel pulled back in my chair when I watch the take off on my computer. It's that good.
ОтветитьSo awesome!
ОтветитьUp till the early 80s watching planes take off at open air viewing terraces was an ear splitting affair. You could feel the air tremble, and the jets really screamed on their takeoff run. In the cabin, I love the part when the high pitched whine becomes a buzz as the airplane takes off.
ОтветитьAbsolutely lysergic and hypnotic soundtrack.
ОтветитьWhat a engine what a sound
ОтветитьEngineers, for some reason, will never have the fame and glory of a rock singer, although their creations are not only right, they're beautiful, as well.
ОтветитьWhy are the inner engine pylons shaped differently than the outer ones?
ОтветитьI flew on this with Lybian airlines Tripolis - Prague in 1983-1984...
