Hey, running the cloudburst in mono really limits its sound compared with the immerse and the hall of fame running in stereo. I have got a cloudburst and it is really coming to life when you hear it in stereo, just saying…
ОтветитьI'm playing with a FLAMMA reverb/ delay. Got three tipes of reverb ,( including shimmer) and three types of delay. Only cost me 80 pounds. Got a Larry Carlton acustic guitar with piezo and microphone, cost 420 pounds. Got the boss oc3, 100 pounds. A behringer mixing desk with 6 inputs eq and effects,100 pounds, and a behringer mpa 40 battery powered because I'm a busker 170 pounds. 950 pounds my entire rig including the guitar. And I'm very happy with it . Need nothing else. (Well I miss a magnetic pick up😅)
ОтветитьThis session shows me why I respect Mike Dawes so much. He's genuinely humble even after becoming famous and is willing to come in and do a video for Andertons just for fun. The man is immensely good at what he does and his personality makes it that much better.
ОтветитьGuys can anyone tell me a guitar to get in the 1000-1500$ range to play Mike daws style guitar and get decent sound? Please? Thank you
ОтветитьLoved this one
ОтветитьHoly f***, gear is meaningless.
ОтветитьJeez he's incredible 😮
Ответитьthis is an awesome useful video - very inspiring, mostly for practicing, and a bit for shoppin :D
ОтветитьHoF mod setting is one of the most underrated verbs of all time.
ОтветитьWe have a winner!
ОтветитьBut why you keep the Boss Ts4 if only have one pickup? Get an IR loader, a 12 band EQ pedal and a compressor and you save 200 pound at least. Or you can add an small Ms70CDR or MS50G zoom pedal and you save even more. Isn't it?
ОтветитьWhat a sensational guest! The content on this channel continues to blow me away.
ОтветитьMike Dawes' C chord even sounds so much better than mine...
ОтветитьNever heard of mike dawe but this was highly inspiring and a pleasure to witness. What a smooth dude, I can't believe how good everything was today
ОтветитьI saw him at a small club last year, and he did the Lost guitar pick shtick, which indeed had all the guitar players in the audience searching their pockets trying to be the one to loan him a guitar pick. It was funny; but it never occurred to me that he had that whole thing planned as part of his show, which is pretty hilarious now that I think about it. His guitar playing is out of this world, phenomenal Talent. But not only that, his music is good music; you can't say that about all talented technical guitarists. Plus he has a great sense of humor, and despite being nearly unique in the world, he seems like a pretty humble guy.
ОтветитьThis is not the result of only years of practice
ОтветитьMike is AMAZING!
Ответитьsome serious Jon Gomm influence in that intro, absolutely beautiful
ОтветитьGREAT DEMO !! thanks so much for doing this.
ОтветитьWhat a lovely,ridiculously talented guy....😊
ОтветитьI love Mike and any excuse to see him play, but I think this wasn’t helpful rig guidance. Too much emphasis was placed on the Bose, especially for a guitar with only one piezo pickup. If there was a magnetic and mic coming out of the guitar, maybe it would be useful.
But honestly any acoustic preamp, EQ pedal, or even good DI could’ve done as good a job and way cheaper. Which would also be good for people with single sources out of their guitar. I’d love to see what sound Mike would’ve gotten with just a piezo and a preamp from Boss, Fender, or LR Baggs or even just a BodyRez. I think those are scenarios more guitarists would find themselves in, and indeed Mike found himself in a piezo only situation in this show and the anecdote he shared. Anyway, there were still great nuggets and moments in this episode.
mike is so good playing his music but when it comes to improvising sucks lets be honest
ОтветитьI think the Cloudburst was in mono... totally less captivating because of that...
ОтветитьNoob question. Why would you spend 60% of your budget to get that multi channel Boss mixer when your cheap guitar only got one pickup?
ОтветитьI was really hoping he’d get to pick his own rig instead of another East Coast push. 😞
ОтветитьPetition to get Mike endorsed by Bose
ОтветитьBri' ish pipel
ОтветитьThat's talent Mike's brilliant player just a lot of practice and just natural talent born to play you can practice for years and never come close
ОтветитьThanks everyone. Thanks Lee and team x
ОтветитьLee, stop cutting him off when he's playing!! 😂
ОтветитьIncredible playing
ОтветитьAmazing video. Seriously talented to make that noise from a entry level guitar!
ОтветитьToo much reverb.....
Ответитьwow best retailer? holy moly. well done.
ОтветитьI hope Mike becomes a semi-regular, he's just phenomenal, such a unique approach to his instrument.
ОтветитьMy man dropped a "shreducational". This guy fucks.
ОтветитьUh oh … now I need a bunch of effects for my acoustic? Might as well give it a go… maybe I will sound more “orchestral” in my office…
ОтветитьMake me a call when u come to Ibiza!!
ОтветитьReally not a fan of the reverb-heavy style Mike uses. Everything bleeds into another and it can be somewhat of a mush sometimes.
ОтветитьLove Mike's awesome technique. Such an inspirational player. Let him know that the next time he needs to fly with BA, he should book his single seat for himself and then call them up and ask to add a 'comfort seat' for his guitar. That's how you get it on the plane as hand luggage 😉
ОтветитьMan......Cloudburst into Immerse....❤❤❤
ОтветитьMy acoustic dream would be to see Mike, Tommy, and Monte Montgomery all 3 play together.
