ОтветитьPaul, I think this strategy sounds good, and to an untrained person makes a lot of sense.. after all, you are helping a business stand out on Google Search which theoretically will help them earn more business once the changes are implemented - claiming the business, optimizing the listing, posting some photos, building a website, etc. But the reality is these companies you are targeting don't really care about nor understand marketing, or their business reputation, or even getting more sales. You see, I actually have experience with B2B sales and I will say it's 10,000X more easier to work with successful businesses who are dominating their local market - i.e. they want to be beat out their competition (#1 vs #2 vs #3) because they actually are vested in their company, actively growing, and LOOKING for any edge they can get vs the business down the street. The companies that have 'zombie' listings are either out of business, moonlighting, or on the way out of business, because they don't have any wherewithal to do the necessary things that will help their business succeed. If they did, they would have already done those things you mentioned, or were in the process when you contact them... which is not really good odds that being the case. I have talked to the exact type of businesses you mention on this video, and the typical response is.. #1 "they don't care" or "they can't afford to do said advice, and ask you to do it for free..." and lastly a more common answer I've got is "even if I get more customers, I just can't help or service them" meaning they don't want to hire more staff to handle more customers, they're comfortable with the level of business they have currently and can't accommodate any new customers. B2B sales for these type of businesses is worse than pulling teeth. They aren't going to respond with open arms most of the time. Now, the caveat is if the businesses you are targeting are NEW, and just getting started... the motivation factor to get a leg up will be drastically higher than a zombie listing that is likely someone who is or has been out-of-business for sometime.
