I'm downloading it now...I looked it up like 10 months ago and found out it would be a while for PS5...haven't played in years so I'm not hurt by it at all...focus on something else man. Time flies by.

us Primitive Plus players have no interest in this version of ark we hate the tek and weapons in it. and we went and got the new xbox for Ark 2 but that never happened, so feel like we were lied to to make us buy there new console. so we should have been the first to get the new ark as we did not get Ark 2 as promised. also would love to get you to have a go on my Prim plus server its a Pgark map so i made it and settings are hard. let me know if your intrested. i am making a second pgark mape at the moment so will have them linked in the future. and more maps to come

Here are the issues the graphics are buggy the game runs a max 30 fps carcasses dissapearing the game being buggy and the ai being horrible and much more conclusion horrible

Hey Neddy there is a huge problem on Xbox regarding dedicated servers. In the old game there was a specific button to run a dedicated server. You needed a different console to do this but that was nothing when it came to buying a nitrado server. But now there is no button so the only way to run a server is through nitrado and the new next gen console I bought is put to waste. If you could mention this it would mean the world.

I blame the project manager for the delays a project manager's job even in game development is to prevent scope creep and keep the game development on schedule by ensuring that all problems are fixed and preventing delays. I also blame the Dev's because i feel they dropped the ball as well but most importantly the project manager should have done a better job at overseeing the project and making the time to fix the issues prior to launch even if that meant working longer hours or bringing in more people to help get it back on schedule and working with all stakeholders to request the funding necessary to keep the game on schedule.

Hey men. Can you talk about the theter distance both on pc and xbox on private servers. I mean there is a barrier at 180 mts. I cant play with friends. By not any means no one will buy a server just for 3 persons. Nitrado are delusional.

How do you a buy server like u do @NeddyTheNoodle? I want to buy a server for me and my friend when the game comes on PS5.

I’m just shocked how when I finally get to download it fully get in and first time I try to login to a server which there is like none it kicks me out I try again kicked out one more I get in and immediately disappoint how do the graphics look worse then the old game and yes console can’t run as good a pc but on my Xbox the old one looks so much better and on ASA I’m still lagging and getting kicked out more thank fully I get a refund so maybe I’ll buy it in a couple months

I'm mad that they lied about console only pve servers. Like i wouldnt have been so mad of they didnt wait until console people were already buying it to say anything. I've had bad experiences on crossplay official in the past and have no desire to play on them now. 🤷‍♀️ like maybe try communicating things better and players wont be salty about it. If they can do it for the pvp they can do it for the pve too

Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't people able to pre-order the game on console too? And now the players are out of their money and out of their game. And it's almost a month past release date. This is sad and frustrating. IF this game releases for consoles I won't be giving them a dime buying it. And I did a pole on a few discord servers for console players, and there's quite a few hundred players that are on the same page. Wild Card, Snail Games, ya done fucked up.

It has been an utter disaster of instability since the xbox update, well done slow clap. WC can barely code one game but you insisted they add the consoles to the mix.

What’s the point of ASA on console? With a 8th gen equivalent CPU and RTX 2080 with 16gb of shared memory it’s going to run at medium low settings at 20-30fps, essentially what ASE did on Xbox one. ASA under high settings looks visually worse than ASE on epic on Xbox series X so really you just paid $40 for a worse version in a new engine your console wont take advantage of with all the features missing from ASE.

These builds of ASA that keep failing when submitted to Microsoft should be an indication of how well it will perform ( which is to say poorly ).

I think its probaly because Snail Games has basically drowned WildCard in so many NDA's they are forced to have to use the vague business speak because they're pretty much incapable of saying anything
most likely situation is that ASA was forced out earlier than it was supposed to because Snail wanted to hook the new cash cow to the milking machine as soon as possible for those sexi gamr profits, especially with all the fatal error crashes, after so many days of very few fatal errors I now can't even get into my SP save because it crashes on load and Im now just going to wait for the fix before I take a stab at playing again.

If it is split screen that is the problem then take SS out. To me it's that simple

As an Xbox ark player and I have played other games too
I can in my right mind say that if there were server problems on day one that caused a delay then Xbox wouldn't be involved thats the developers problem
But certification that's bs it doesn't even take like a week Xbox should have seen this easily its basically ark remastered that's all they could have put all the tags of ark 1 older game and sent it into the market I believe that snail and the other people bleeding the ark trilogy away are delaying it on purpose

Sometimes I see my favourite sci-fi game getting ripped away by the wrong people and it really breaks my heart as this game was there during my depression it helped me cope with things in life that other resort to drugs for

I am sure you feel like your doing the right thing, but it isn't running well on PC with lots of bugs. Yet you want to push them it introduce more points of failure. Honestly wtf are you thinking. What happens when Sony and MS start copping complaints from their players, WC are going to prioritise the console bug fixes.

S series basically cant handle the game. Xbox is requiring the game to release on both series in parity. Even Larian ran into this issue with their game and its GoTY stuff. Nerdboy did a good video into that and other videos are coming out about this and potentially certs may go into December or even later speculatively. There's a possibility that its 100% incapable of passing for S series and that they're trying to negotiate either to remove features(split screen, etc) or not even delivering on S series etc. Just look at the differences between the 2 series and compare to the demands for ark and you'll see how its a square peg in a round hole.

While for Ark, Shi Hai Wang is certainly to blame, especially for the mishandling the revenue diverting, but ASE was for 8 years filled issues with it are STILL in ASA is squarely on Stieglitz et al within the Studio's internal mismanagement, especially when you understand most of it was made by 2 other 3rd party studios for them(Grove Street and Instinct). I hold Studio Wildcard as equally responsible if not more so on factors you didnt address.

Regarding the 600k sales. Remember that's with only 50% going to Snail before they then divide it amongst their more than 20 other games/subsidiaries (and before taxes etc). Steam=30%. Nitrado=20%. Consoles will have the same situation. So its really not much money they're bringing in for sustaining Ascended development over the next 2 years AND Ark 2 AND more.

Regarding the threats, I agree it is 100% not ok. It is unfortunately something that happens in the industry and even Cedric made similar complaints before dollie came on board. It is also though important to not have that be a misdirection/mitigation from the issues that Snail-Wildcard have groomed for the last 8 years.

Expectations overall for Snail to take responsibility is pointless. As you stated, its just not going to happen. Only accountability for this by players to not purchase. Wildcard banks they wont and have .


ExtraLife is best not done with Wildcard this year. Plenty of other better deserving studios to work with in these regards. Not donating through WC this year.

I'll be honest, I reckon it won't pass certification because it is in the same state Cyberpunk was on xbox and ps4. Assuming I am right Microsoft and Sony probably turned around and said to them "Look we had this with Cyberpunk and we kinda let it slide but we're not letting that happen a second time with you, get your product fixed stupid".

I will always argue with anyone who says it's Microsoft and sonys fault. Their cert processes have been the same for years. Even when ase was out. So the Devs knew exactly what needed to be done. So the Devs saying it's a certification issue is not. It's the Devs not doing their jobs and trying to get as much extra time as possible. Without telling people it will be days, weeks or even months

I feel bad for the people that took days off or waited until midnight to download the game, or people like me who bought the new Xbox specifically to play Asa and then have to wait. I'm not sure if they even care, if they did, they wouldn't waited until last moment to say the date is being pushed back, again
