I'm 43 and I have always been a GI JOE collector, untill I ran into Sargent Slaughter one day at a Texaco Station. He offered to jerk me off for $5 and pleasure me with his mouth for $10. I gave him a $20 and got the premium package. (Totally worth it!) Yes, it was awkward because we were behind a dumpster at a gas station but Sarge didn't care and he took it like a champ. He even let me finish on his giant chin for a bottle of Thunderbird. They say never meet your hero's, I call B.S. Sarge did things my wife wouldn't do for any amount of money. Worth every penny. YO JOE!!! 👅🍑🍆

I was a 90s kid so GI Joe was a little before my era, or better put not as popular i know they were still around, but i remember visiting one of my moms friends house and her older son collected a bunch of them still boxed! i remember she let me look at his collection and i was hooked. i didn't end up getting many, but it definitely left an impact they were cool as hell!

I gave my brother my collection at 16 (1994) bc I thought I was too old. The only rule was to not take them out of the house. That weekend he took them to our cousins house and came back with hardly any of them. Biggest regret ever! I had about 80 joes/cobras and a lo of vehicles. Started collecting in 82’ smh

I982-1988 Joes and Cobra, you just had to be there and live it, but nostalgia brings our memories to life. Still got my G.I. Joe toys and got them out, cleaned them up, bought a few new ones (retro of course)

If a GI Joe movie had the production value and acting caliber of these commercials, I would actually watch it. They could make remote control versions of all the vehicles for the combat scenes that used them, shamelessly green screen and dead giveaway set pieces. It would sell more tickets, finish on less than half the budget of previous efforts, and bring to light a more nuanced and intellectual dimension to the oversaturated attempts we have been offered in this century.
