BEST Products to Sell on Amazon in 2024! (Amazon FBA)

What are the BEST products to sell on Amazon FBA in 2024 as a NEW SELLER? Choosing the right product is critical to making money on Amazon, I have over 5 years of experience selling on Amazon and this is my advice for Amazon BEGINNERS deciding what to sell on Amazon.

Amazon product research videos are some of the most watched Amazon FBA tutorials on YouTube. Many new sellers get stuck on Amazon FBA product research and they end up making a mistake with product selection.

Choosing the right product is critical to becoming a successful Amazon seller, I recommend that Amazon FBA beginners should avoid selling the following products:

• Products with variations - this increases your financial risk as you have to order many units of each variation and you won't know how well each variation will sell so inventory management is very difficult
• Large or heavy products - expensive freight and fulfilment fees will eat into your Amazon profit margins so try to stick with smaller and lighter products
• Seasonal products - avoid selling products that only sell during certain seasons e.g. picnic blankets or BBQ products, it's ok to sell products that sell well year round and have seasonal spikes
• Fad products - these types of products often have a short shelf life and the competition is usually fierce which drives prices down
• Low value products - choose products that sell for at least £20 so there is enough margin to invest in PPC (Pay Per Click) sponsored ads
• Dangerous goods & hazardous materials - you need approval to sell these types of products and they can also be difficult to ship
• Fragile products - higher return rates will eat your profits
• Sizing reliant products - as with fragile products, size reliant products such as clothing and footwear have a very high return rate
• Topical or ingestible products - products that you consume or put on your skin often require additional documentation and carry a high risk of a customer having a reaction
• Adult items - Amazon does not allow you to sponsored ads for products that are flagged as adult
• CE/UKCA marked products - these products require certificates from the supplier, ensure your supplier can provide these before placing a bulk order
• Copycat products - never launch an identical product, always develop to add a visual selling point and greater perceived value so you don't end up in a price war
