I just found my dad's s60, any ideas to remove the SD card from the camera ?
ОтветитьIt's a digital camera, not film.
ОтветитьMmm, I don't see photos with a film look here but the camera seems fun, somehow..
ОтветитьNice you have a Minolta X-700. Great camera I have one that was given to me by my parents.
ОтветитьWhat settings do you normally use when you are in manual mode regarding contrast, saturation and sharpness?
Ответитьnice vid.
Ответитьnice vid.
ОтветитьI got one today (Fuji E510) shootting manual make photos so authentic, it really look like film (once edited especially) but in auto it lack the emotion, but I guess Its with every camera.
ОтветитьDo you usually shoot in a -1 EV and a higher contrast and saturation setting with the Custom Color feature?
ОтветитьI have the s45 and it is special. And shoots RAW.
ОтветитьI have the S50, and it's epic. Immediately recognised the body from the thumbnail! I love the S50, but its battery is dead, and I'm buying a replacement some day.
ОтветитьAmazing video. The Mitchell and Webb bit got me hahaha.
ОтветитьI just... find it hilarious that this is a trend when they literally look like iPhone photos with a VSCO filter on them. Maybe because I grew up with these cameras that I can't see why this should be celebrated.
ОтветитьDon't necessarily need CF card or reader. You can buy a CF to SD adapter...
ОтветитьIs there any merit to pre-DIGIC processor Canon cameras being extra special? Cameras like the PowerShot G2, S30 and S40?
ОтветитьI meaaaaaan i like your content. But I did click cus you said film photos. I’m not mad, just disappointed 😞
ОтветитьMy first camera I bought with my own money was an S60, I let my aunt borrow it and she lost it. I'm still Salty about it 20 years later. 😂. Some of the best family pictures I took were with this Camera. My mom's favorite picture of her and my brother was taken with this Camera. It truly was a point and shoot.
ОтветитьCan you recommend a compact camera thats cheap and cheerful but good enough (even used on ebay) for taking pics of artwork from indoors up to size 36x24 inches.. so they are sharp enough to view online when zooming in... no need for the pics to be used to print these images from. Cheers.
Ответить$50... wow. These were like $5-$10 in good will shops like 2-3 years ago.
Ответитьgood
Ответитьnice
Ответить35mm still look much better
ОтветитьThis was my very first digital camera. Very nostalgic seeing it again.
ОтветитьAwesome channel, mate! Beautiful contenents and you are a master of photography. One question , what's your thoughs about Sony HX10V ? Cheers
ОтветитьI can't find your ccd vs film comparison, have I missed it?
Ответитьi bought one of this sadly i live in the Philippines i can't find any battery to buy its a second hand canon powershot s50 ive been wanting a camera for almost 3 years now
ОтветитьThat was my very first digital camera- and I loved it! Small enough to fit in my jeans pockets. But powerful, all modes, RAW, .... I even added Cokin filters. I really loved it, unfortunatelly it died.
ОтветитьSuper videos you make, MAN !
ОтветитьI've had them all. Canon PowerShot S30 up to S70. RAW, and a good lens.
ОтветитьI have the next version, the S70, almost identical physically, but a good bit better in every way ✅
ОтветитьSorry for asking this, but what happened to the June 22 video giveaway? I have seen the video but there is nothing about the draw.
ОтветитьNot sure how I feel about the term "Vintage Digital".
ОтветитьLove the S line. Wished they continued it. They're quite the beast.
ОтветитьResolution these days we take for granted. In 2010 I shot with 2004 camera Powershot A400 that has only 3 megapixels yet it produces fine print at A4!
Yet nowadays we sometimes unsatisfied with 12MP, 20MP.....time has really changed.
You have quite a few people knocking the digicam wave. It’s not for everyone. I recently bought a Canon SD1000 and I take it every where and stay shooting anything that catches my attention. Something I can’t say with modern digital cameras. I have a 35mm point and shoot but with how pricey film is getting, I save it for photos that are worth it. But I love digicams with a ccd sensor. I like messing with the positive film jpeg my canon has. If you’d like to see some video I shot on my sd1000, head over to my channel. Love the video btw
ОтветитьMy first digital camera was the Powershot S50. It's very interesting how much they changed the layout of the buttons from the S50 to the S60. These days, I do prefer other compact camera options from the CCD era, but it was a nice camera to use.
Ответитьhave you ever try canon g7x mark ii? a friend recenetly give it to me for free 🥶 no battery nor charger. Bought battery for it and it work very well
ОтветитьGet your hands on a s95!!
ОтветитьI had one of these a few months ago. Unfortunately the sensor died within a couple of hours or use. After doing some research, I sadly learnt that it was a common problem back in the day and many other cameras using the same sensor should be used with caution too. Such a shame because the picture quality was amazing and it was a nice pocket camera.
ОтветитьI am really SO happy I bought this BEFORE you posted this video, since probably prices are going up hehe. Also, nice video maaan! I tagged you on instagram on a video I made with pictures taken with the Canon PowerShoot S70 😯!
ОтветитьI think the take away point to make about shooting these older CCD cameras is that they encourage a more considered approach to getting a good exposure in camera, much like you would if shooting a film camera. I love the look of CCD sensors. The Pentax K10D has a wonderful sensor and is worth checking out if you can find one. I've just also got the Sigma DP1 with the Foveon sensor. Now that is a good sensor to check out.
ОтветитьIt was my first digital camera. It was always in my pocket.
Very good image quality.
It gives very fine prints in A3 format.
I mostly used the optical viewfinder.
I would call the video function useless. Very low resolution.
ISO from 50-400. At 400 ISO very poor quality. I think I mostly used 50 ISO.
Very nice fill flash. I set it to -2/3 f-stop. Used it indoors with a window or an open door in the background with fine results. It compensated to some extent for the poor high ISO performance
The blown out highlights give it away immediately.
But it's a decent camera for the price. Still I think, point & shoot 35mm film beats the digi-canon.
for the love of god please stop making these videos
ОтветитьI have the SD1000/Digital IXUS 70 and jpegs are kinda meh, positive film is decent tho, but I'd only shoot RAWs with this camera and edit them to my taste, sooc jpegs come out a lot less detailed. And no, images don't really look like film straight outta camera. :)
ОтветитьI'm still shock how some old digicam have raw images, and some doesn't. Makes me think why is raw not a defult in every camera.
ОтветитьHmm, they are not film photos, they are Digital photos but okay.
ОтветитьI have the Powershot a530 and it seems to be the same specs your showing. Looks like it cuts out some of the “pro” features like changing screen brightness, changing colors etc
ОтветитьFirst
