Been waiting for Penpot 2.0, and it's time for me jump to Penpot. After exploring the new UI, I am never going back to Figma ever again. The inspect tool is great, there are some gotchas here and there but the overall inspect tool experience is great.

I have to know, was Penpot 1.x used to design Penpot 2 😂? If so I’m kinda curious to see the file I wonder how big it is and how many boards it has?

I am doing front end web developer. Using Figma because of my university however, Figma doesn’t have the dev mode for free. Should I use PenPot?

Congrats! I’m getting back into penpot and recommend it to anyone being told figma is the only option. It ain’t! In terms of what these kinda of tools should be doing for your team, Penpot is superior. Everyone can have access when finance isn’t cutting costs on users subscriptions to only an elite few.
