Melbourne public transport is very weak, that’s why 99% of people here in Melbourne are using their private cars
ОтветитьThe big disappointment is that the metro won't deliver broader savings to the lower north shore, northern beaches and inner south because of the lack of decent bus and light rail connections at Crows Nest, Victoria X, and Waterloo.
ОтветитьThe new extension will be great but as many have pointed out: It might be TOO fast - the distance between stations is way too long on most sections.
If there would be more stations it would still be faster than today, but many more places would get metro access.
This is even worse for the Metro West
“TANGARAS SUCK” 🤬 Tho seriously great video and I found it really interesting!
ОтветитьIsn’t Denistone Sharrath’s favourite station?
ОтветитьIsn't it great to have a pair of foreigners telling us about Sydney?
ОтветитьAt least the train system is working better then Sydneys new crap roading system
Ответитьawesome colab!
ОтветитьI actually caught a waratah train from bondi junction to martin place this morning. It's not unusual either...
ОтветитьNo comments 😊
ОтветитьI look forward to just doing the Chatswood to Sydenham trip just to see the delighted look on the locals' faces. 😊😊😊
ОтветитьSo pleased that someone else has been game to call out the Tangaras. Uncomfortable, poorly designed doors, cloudy windows, fixed hard seats, etc. (But a bit rich from metro-champion Sharath - at least they gave seats 😂)
ОтветитьI like both of your channels. Quite different content
ОтветитьExcellent video
Ответитьnot them casually watching aespa supernova cover in wynyard walk
ОтветитьThat's interesting to hear Paul that the Metro will get people onto the city quicker than the normal train with the Driver. I would wonder how long it will take for the people That live along the Bankstown Line once the Line gets converted to Sydney metro it would take to get the people living along the Bankstown Line getting into the city once it been converted to Sydney metro?
ОтветитьIt took 5 years of building Sydney Metro just so this collab could happen
ОтветитьTwo of my favourite legends keep up the good work guys 😎🤩🔥
ОтветитьGreat video thanks guys, love both your channels
ОтветитьSeeing both of you working together is great. Thanks so much for your informative vids for those of us who live outside the city but visit regularly from regional centres...Joni.
ОтветитьI'm very curious about money cost comparisons and end to end time savings
ОтветитьNow both of you gotta do it (also add 3 people and probs I can be one of them haha) once the new cbd metro open..... with one person doing metro and another doing sydney trains lol..... or maybe a 5 way, 1 does bus, 1 does metro, 1 does trains, 1 one does light rail and last person can use ebike or scooter.
ОтветитьThe Line between Waverton and St Leonards could have been constructed straighter, but it then would have had gradients too steep for the 1890s steam trains to handle.
Ответить"T4"? Oh, you mean the Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line?
Best not to use those designations for the suburban lines that Transport4NSW uses; people not familiar with Sydney's System won't know what you mean.
(Whoever in T4NSW who came up with "T1, T4" etc must have had a lot of spare time on their hands, or maybe just trying to justify their job).
When the Metro starts running all the way to Bankstown, I assume that Erskineville and St Peters Stations will be serviced by those Illawarra Line trains which presently usually don't stop there. That will slightly increase the travel times for some services on that Line.
Interesting fact about St Peters Station: Although the Sydney trams on the "green lines" (Inner south-west) through Newtown closed in September 1957, trams still ran to St Peters Station via the (then still open) Eastern Suburbs system from Redfern via Alexandria until 1959.
Theres the 291 that goes through St Leonards. Will the 291 Frequency be Increased from every hour to every 10-15 Minutes in Peak and Every 30 Minutes Off Peak when Metro Extension Opens?
ОтветитьI love it, my two favourite Sydney metro Vloggers collaborating! More in the future please ❤
ОтветитьBiggest kooks
ОтветитьHaha this is a sweet collab! Hope to see more of you both
ОтветитьI really can't watch this one. The video is just too close sorry..friendly respectful feedback.
Ответитьthis might actually make me visit the city more often. jumping on one train from the hills with no changing is a major bonus even if the time savings will be minimal compared to changing at epping to go via strathfield.
ОтветитьGreat video as always you both! Can we get some insights into the Future extensions into south-west metro? I’m keen to know more about the Airport-Leppington-Glenfield extension! Also it would be great if the metro created a circular line connecting the north-west to the south-west! 😊
ОтветитьGood video you both made. I will still tap on with Trains driven by humans, and supporting jobs for Guards, Drivers, and the Station staff. To me it Doesn't matter if its slower because the trains are double decked and harder to unload, and the lines have more stops, I will still always support the Men and Women working. The metro should be using the Tranport NSW voice by Taylor Owynns for the Door opening sound. And it should be "Doors opening please stand clear" not that other robotic crap. The metro shouldn't be on a long line if the trains don't support it. A metro if for short populated distances, not long ones like it is. Thats why the T Sets are amazing, you can actually sit down in comfort. There obviously weren't enough strikes because now we will see a bye bye to our T sets, bye bye to the jobs of hundreds. All so the lines can be converted to this Metro crap. We didn't need a war against our Train staff, we already have one in our buses after the state privitised everything. The metro marks the beginning of a slow process to wipe out humans from our transport, and also our fleet of reliable,Australian made trains ,and replace them with some stupid computerised crap ( made overseas ). Goodluck.
ОтветитьAnd also the new extension of Sydney Metro from Chatswood to Sydenham via Crows Nest has now connected commuters of north west Sydney to the rest of Australia by rail at Central allowing connections with XPT and Xplorer trains to Armidale, Moree, Grafton, Casino, Brisbane, Perth, Griffith, Canberra, Broken Hill, Dubbo and Melbourne
ОтветитьThey should’ve extended the excellent Monorail system to the North and west of you ask me. If it’s good enough for Springfield and Vegas it’s good enough for Sydney, baby!
ОтветитьReally curious how this is going to pan out because I travel from Castle Hill but work at Wynyard. You really can't beat the convenience of travelling from Chatswood to Wynyard on the train right now, but if the metro will be that much faster even if I have to alight at Barangaroo and walk...
ОтветитьThe 293 Runs Between Marsfield and the City as it goes along Epping Road. I think the Solution for the 293 is to Extend it to Epping to avoid Duplication with the 292 and 551. My Proposal is to Extend the 293 to Epping Station on Cambridge Street. With that, the 293 Will Instead Terminate at North Sydney Station. The 293 is an Express Bus that only runs in the Peak, The 293 follows Epping Road bypassing Macquarie Centre and to the Lane Cove Tunnel. Since Buses Pay Toll Roads, the 293 Will avoid the Lane Cove Tunnel to avoid Interference with the Hills BRT. The 293 will follow Epping Road to the Gore Hill Freeway and continue on the Freeway to Pacific Highway where it will Terminate at North Sydney. This will help connect between Stations. It will free up services on the 292. It will Replace the 290 Bus Route that goes via North Sydney to the City. That will be the Best Solution Because most people at Marsfield take the 292 to Macquarie University and take the Metro to the City. We should have the 293 running 24 Hours a Day between Epping and North Sydney so that people who live on Epping Road or walk to Epping Road to take the Bus will need to Transfer at North Sydney. It is Cheaper and Easier. It will help connect people to the Train Line. The Services will be Increased in Peak.
ОтветитьP.A.J.E.E.T!
ОтветитьAND ALL STATIONS TO 🗣️🗣️🗣️‼️‼️‼️
ОтветитьI like Pauls Channel
ОтветитьIn order to get to the City from Frenchs Forest, People have to take the 160X to Chatswood then the Train to the City Town Hall Station. How long will it be with the 160X to Chatswood then the Metro to the City Station: Gadigal even though the 160X Runs Every 10-15 Minutes?
ОтветитьMy lower face hurt and i feel pain after got pushed onto the Bus. I was signalling the Bus and i got stuck in the door then when i managed to get out i tap on and students were pushing and i hit something and fall to the floor and it was painful and a Year 10 Student helped me then i got a seat and called my dad to get me from Epping Station. The pain continued and at Epping Station and the driver telled me my name, my school and he wrote the time and i took the photo of the Bus Driver ID, Route Number, and Bus Number and it was 1511. The 3 Boys Stayed with me at Epping Station then my Dad Arrived and i got home. This was the Incident i had today and it was on Bus Route 550.
ОтветитьReally looking forward to the City Metro extension opening. I live near Wollongong and at the moment it can take anywhere up to three hours to get to Chatswood via bus and train. Once the extension opens it'll only take two hours.
ОтветитьAnother great collaboration by the Dynamic Duo!
Can’t wait to experience the new Metro when I next return to my hometown from Sacramento in California! (Thanks also to Sharath who helped me to find Paul’s channel. YT seems to have stopped feeding me Paul’s videos for sometime and I couldn’t recall the name of the channel. It’s partly an old-timers thing.)
It's not possible taking the 320 from Crows Nest. The 320 was shortened to Terminate at Central from Zetland.
ОтветитьHi everyone, Hope you enjoy this video with Sharath @building beautifully!. We used "North Sydney" and "Victoria Cross" interchangeably when referring to journey times to and from North Sydney. Some of the journey times by Sydney Trains do vary during the day, especially where interchanges are involved, so that did affect our timesaving estimates a little! Looking forward to hearing your comments!
