If you want to sell your product in India, you may need a BIS certification according to FMCS/ISI (this is the BIS certification including a factory inspection). If this is the case, you will also need to mark the product accordingly after certification.
A special characteristic of the BIS certification according to FMCS/ISI, is that this marking has to be paid per piece – or rather, there is a basic fee including up to approx. 1 million pieces.
