The beginning of this video tells you why you should NEVER finance a motorcycle. If you can't afford to pay cash for a toy, then you can't afford it. Finance necessities... things you absolutely need and can't otherwise afford. When you finance, you're paying for something many times over.

This one’s gonna be a little lengthy, but story time on the financing man. My wife went to look at a Nissan rogue for her one time she test drove it. She liked it. We went in the dealer to sit down to start talking numbers. I’m mathematical genius but I’m decent with numbers just right off the top of my head Guy looks at me and says you’re looking at a payment of blah blah blah. How does that sound? I looked right at that guy. I said it sounds about like 10% interest to me and I’m not paying it. The guy starts going blah blah, blah blah and I said no no no stop right there. I said I’m not even paying nowhere near that amount of interest on the focus. I had out there right now yet you just told me my credit is now better than what it was then, and you expect me to pay more interest I said I’m simply not doing it that payment dropped that $80 a month really quickly. Well my wife was not comfortable with that high of a payment at the time so I stood up. I shook the guys hand and I said I apologize sir we’re just simply going to have to wait, we only lived 1012 minutes from the dealer was pulling in our driveway and getting a phone call back from the dealer we end up getting 0% interest now my problem with all this is is if they actually had a 0% interest promotion going on why was that not the first thing they tried to give us I understand why they wanted us to just take that 10% deal where we probably were paying 6% interest on the loan and the other 4% of them but in short never be too afraid to simply walk away maze it how many times they will call you back and give you a better deal just to get a sale

Don't finance anything if you can avoid it, aside from some manufacturer special % offers, borrowing money has to be paid for, by the finance company as well as your self.
You are looking at "cost to change" when trading your old bike for a new one. The dealer will look at the margin in your new bike and what they think they will get for your old one, that's the starting point for negotiation. You CANNOT get a great discount and a great trade-in price! That is not realistic, you CAN however get one or the other, but the dealer still needs to make a return. Dealers have to make a profit to stay in business, if you think that is "being ripped off" then try working for nothing and see how long you survive!

Bikes are cheap enough to be able to save up for them and buy cash and yes never buy an aftermarket warranty and honestly dont ever buy a new bike, 2 years old and never ridden seems to be perfect.

Will blanket tell the people that after-market warranties are utter garbage. You will never get its value back.
Srk is telling you to put the money you would give them, and put it in the bank. (tough for some people) That money will cover your repairs better than the warranty.

Remember: Financing is you paying someone for the honor of owing them money! And sometimes it's a lot of extra money you'll be paying! So think of it as an investment: Am I getting my money's worth here?? If you just got a new job a couple towns over, and commuting there by BUS is absolutely not going to work for you, then sure, the sure, it might be worth it. Maybe your current bike, that you depend on is 30 years old and on its last legs, and it's starting to cost you a lot to keep it going, getting it towed, frequent repairs...yeah, replacing it now and spending a little more to finance something really reliable might be worth it. But if you want a $40K looker to show off at the local watering hole, hunker down, bite the bullet, and SAVE UP for it! The thousands you save on the financing can go to a full, brand new set of leathers, so when you're at the watering hole folks can laugh and tell you you're too clean and you need to drag that new jacket behind the bike for a few miles before you put it back on. ;D

The beauty of a GOOD Ext Svc Contract? You cn drop your bike off at the shop Monday on your wat to work for repairs, and pick iyt up Friday on your way home, the ride all weekend. Instead of spending your next 2 weekends, fixing the bike and paying out of pocket, for what could have been repaired...2 weeks ago for no or minimal out of pocket. 28 years in the business, the ONLY $$ capped svc contracts I saw, were on marine products....other than accrued repairs not exceeding MSRP and/or current repair being value of the bike...ie, its called totalled if repair cost exceeds value.

As for inhouse financing...a GOOD dealer, can get markup from dealer buy rate and STILL be below the lenders street rate for a walk in customer. I wrote 1/4 million dollars a month in loans. Because of that volume, the bank gave me a discounted buy rate. If a bank customer walk in rate was 6%, I had a buy rate t 5. I could write it at 5.9...make .9, and save the customer time and money, vs them going to the bank themselves. As a dealer, you know this.

I was looking at a REALLY great price on a barely used ten-year old Sportster 883, but went away for a few days for them to do better---NEVER buy on sudden impulse! Then I asked them if it had an owner's manual and a service manual, and hopefully a maintenance record. The salesman foolishly said that they got it from an AUCTION and knew NOTHING about this machine! They offered to sell me an aftermarket "Service Agreement" at half-price since there was no warranty! Vehicle auctions are last ditch markets for distressed properties, and can often mean that the item is from a FLOOD OR FIRE. It looked beautiful and ran well, but was too much of a gamble for an older bike. Ask about the HISTORY of a used bike!.........................elsullo

Thanks for the info about going straight to a credit union. I bought my first 300cc bike outright cause I had the money saved and I bought used from the owner. Great decision got a reliable bike. I will use that info to get a ZX-6R KRT edition at a dealership in the future cause that's the dream bike.

Idk how it works with motorcycles, but I sell lawnmowers , financing is exact terms , dealerships are not aloud to charge extra fees. They could do it of course, but if one person complains then they lose the right to financing with that company, say td or Sheffield or synchrony etc. and when we finance something they charge us a fee and then charge a promotional fee to the customer , then whatever terms be it no interest or with interest. Most of that financing is the same as far as i know as the same programs say Honda for example apply to bikes as well. There is low credit financing and that’s a whole different kind of cookie there

Wait people pay for gear? Every bike k have bought i pick out all my gear there, noramlly clearance as they are having a hard time selling it hence its on clearance, so i already know what i want, then i go and negotiate the bike at low offers and go back and forth and when i resch my goal point i say ok well how about you give me 1k gift card for gear and then they come bsck with how about 300 and then i show my hand and say well let me go loon st your gear snd pick my cleanrance stuff out and say ok how about you include all this gear with the bike maybe like 600 worth and then they will say ok how abiit all that gear for $100, 50? Ok deal... And always walk with the sales guy when he goes to negotiate never sit in the chair or office waiting for them to get back, and have them run your credit fonsce on speaker on the ohone to get your best rate

The ONE thing about trade-ins he did not tell you.... YES, you will be getting a wholesale price (because they need to flip it and make money on it) but it will also reduce the total price on the sale of the new bike, and in states where there is percentage sales tax, you will save some money there.

Absolutely correct my man. TOP (2) best ways to get the best deal. 1- Pay cash. What else can I say. 2- Get your financing prior to stepping foot in the dealership. And for God's sake, DO NOT impulse buy. Relax and do your research. Know exactly what you want and with what options you want. Know what you are willing to buy already on the bike and what you are willing to add to the bike after you purchase it. Again, first and foremost, if you HAVE to finance like a lot do, get your financing to take with you and you don't tell them anything till you are done with price negotiating. If they ask, all you have to say is that you haven't made that decision yet. Once you are satisfied with the price, then simple, here is my financing for the bike and leave knowing you got the best deal you can. If you take your financing, then there is full transparency between you and the bank. Otherwise, the dealer will not only make profit on the sale, which I am definitely ok with, and they will also make profit on your financing. Thanks for the excellent video my friend. Had to subscribe !

Sin brings death to everything righteous in your life and separates you from holy God! If you die a sinner, God will punish you with eternal hellfire and darkness! Repent of your sinful lives and believe the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Romans 10:9-10
King James Version

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Acts 4:12
King James Version

2 Thessalonians 1:8-9
King James Version

For Washington State (and others) you get a tax credit when you trade in a motorcycle.
I traded in a bike for $10K and financed the other $6K for a 23 ZX10.
I got a 1.95% loan for months from Synchrony on the $6K for 36 months.

Best part of trade in is when the store owner and managers have no clue about prices and blindly trust in what their system tells them.
You can simply buy bikes/cars that have there system value it at X price based on condition, make, model, year, but you can find people rush selling one with problems like overheating after an hour of driving. This way they value the car at more than you purchased it for as they did not do a long enough test drive to notice why you got it so cheap.
Same with computers. I can get hardware out of "broken" computers I buy for basically nothing, throw it together to have a computer that boots up to windows login screen, then trade it in for $200+ aud as their system shows the specs I am trading in to be worth X value and it turns on.
They dont know after 1 hour it blue screens as the CPU and GPU are basically dead

I love your warranty warning. I tell people to save their money and earn interest instead of buying a warranty. I teach microeconomics and this is just plain economics sense. Warranties generally make the warranty companies rich and no much else. It’s also best to finance on your own such as a credit union. You can often get better deals doing it yourself.

My first car I financed at 18 I was talked into buying a $1000 third party warranty. 10 months later my timing belt went and took out a couple pistons. I went through the warranty bull only for them to deny my claim due to ‘previous owner negligence to maintain’.

I now never buy the 3rd party warranties and always go to my credit union
