ОтветитьTbh I’m a big fan of all your recipes but this one isn’t right, the cake comes out more spongy and light instead of rich and decadent. I’ve tried this recipe 3 times adjusted by adding more dates which helped a bit but still not the result I was looking for.

ОтветитьIt’s a pudding, not a cake, because puddings are traditionally steamed on the hob whereas cakes are baked in the oven.
As with many things, the more recognised method these days is to bake it. But then it’s not sticky toffee pudding. It’s cake.

ОтветитьI noticed that liquid vanilla contains alcohol.. please check the ingredients before using it. Alcohol is haram. Opt for the powdered vanilla instead

ОтветитьTried your recipe and It was so good!! Everyone loved it. I recommend you guys making the toffee sauce it really adds to the flavour. I had to use vanilla essence instead of vanilla extract for the cake because I couldn’t find it but it still turned out good

Ответитьi made this, and it’s delicious. definitely sweet though. will probably leave out the brown sugar in the cake and/or lessen the amount of sugar in the syrup if i make it again.
