So, I should return the GoXLR that arrived from Amazon today...or, should I keep it, since legally it would need to work through the end of its 3 year warranty period and the company would be responsible for a solution if it failed during that period 🤔
ОтветитьRazer mixer is garbage for the price, preamp is subpar, the software is trash
ОтветитьLesson learnt, won't buy anything of that company ever again! It's not cheep and they just stop upgrades or at least maintenance just like that...
ОтветитьInterestingly they released a White GoXLR Mini .. So .. Opposite of dead in a sense, but .. yeah, they need to figure out a roadmap forward.
Had a Mini for .. approaching 2 years now, I love the thing, and sadly I think all the others really don’t compare at all. Except for the Razer, which really is a copycat, but I’ve honestly just never been a fan of Razer’s products.
Any suggestions on the best 2 pc setup for the Wave XLR? Willing to grab the Stream Deck + as well.
ОтветитьWow lol... I use this thing heavily.. so this sucksssss
ОтветитьHaving a single xlr input is the issue, sound guys like me with 2 nice mics set up for online radio or interviews, we want 2 xlr channels for mics like every Dj mixer. Rode caster pro 2 has too many coloured buttons for my liking, I prefer broadcast mixers but they’re Uber expensive all over 1200 euros to 15k. That razor looks nice but again just a single xlr.
ОтветитьSad, its the best everything else is really "you get this but not this, you get that but not that" and goxlr had no trade offs. Easy to turn my ps5 on and have it running on one device with my pc discord etc. Just an amzing product.
ОтветитьThey never made it available for Mac… can’t say we didn’t see that coming.
Ответитьlegit thought this was a clickbait post and advertising but damn, its true
ОтветитьI hate it when companies don't release source code that's not gonna be used. I know it's an "asset" that can be sold to potential buyers, but still.
ОтветитьSo happy you're fixing the audio errors with the Mac, this video is riddled with pops and clicks...
ОтветитьI have been using the Rodecaster Pro 2 and I am one of the ones that swear by it. LOL. I have 2 pc's and a ps5 connected to this thing and it has severely simplified my setup. Gaming console does not work properly if you connect it with a usb-c. You will have to get an audio extracter at least for the PS5 and a balance 3.5mm to 2XLR Male Stereo cable and connect it to 2XLR female ports on the RC2. Great thing is you can combine the 2 ports to 1 knob on the device through the software and is very easy to do. Great thing is you do not need a hum destroyer to get the noise out. This works very well for my 3 device setup as I do not have to switch cables or do anything extra. With all the audio features to process the sound the way I want it connected to my sub and 2 studio monitors, it is like i was in a new world that I was missing out on. LOL
ОтветитьI don't know how people are using the Rodecaster as a GoXLR replacement without some major compromises. Only 3 USB audio devices (and you have to use up TWO ports on your PC). Whereas with GoXLR, you had 5 USB audio devices. The upgrade path just isn't there if you want to keep it similar to your GoXLR setup.
ОтветитьAnd today they announced their white model. Fire sale?
ОтветитьMy wife just bought the damn thing!
ОтветитьI use the Roland Bridgecast and love it.
ОтветитьGuess i'm staying with my ag03 for just a lil bit longer lol
ОтветитьTC has not permanently announced the discontinuation of the product and them and their parent company (music tribe) have no plans in the near future to do so but have announced that updates will be halted until the logistics can be situated and they can find people to work on the firmware, the discord will remain, warranty is the same the only thing that has happened so far is the Canadian offices have been permanently closed.
Ответить... I just bought mine on Amazon prime day... I just got it...TODAY.....
ОтветитьCan I use Yamaha AG03 mixer?
ОтветитьI think another good alternative here for only fiddy dollars is the fifine ac3. Does everything you need, provide phantom power, mic monitoring, for gamers it has rgb, reviews say it sounds great, works great, looks great, may not be enough to power an sm7b, but powers most xlr mics. Pair that bad boy with another fifine xlr mic and you got yourself a pretty good (and cheap) audio set-up
ОтветитьI know this will get lost in the comments but here are some answers for those of you worried: I spoke to the SweetWater rep, who works close with TC Helicon and their company and I brought this to his attention. He spoke with the guys at TC Helicon and its not as extreme as this video puts out. They still have support and development for all of their products, including GoXLR, they did have a few offices close up in Canada, but not ALL of development and support. They will be moving forward with it for some time still, of course until the next model comes out of the GoXLR. So for those of you that are worried, you don't need to be 😁 hope this clears some air for people.
ОтветитьWow great video thank you for this!! I am specifically looking for something that is known for its low latency. I just want to ensure the audio coming from my gaming PC and going into my headphones (which i imagine will be connected to my mixer) is as close to real time as possible. What do you suggest?
ОтветитьI've been digging the Lewitt Connect 6
ОтветитьSaw senpaigaming also use the mackie DLZ creator mixer and it seems it might be a good replacement for GO XLR and seems to have less issues than the rhodecaster pro 2 atm except its around that $700 mark so a bit more pricier. However it has a larger screen and a lot more fine tune optimization imo
Ответитьvoicemeeter potato + Korg nanoKONTROL2 works like a dream. although obviously a rather different solution to a lot of these products.
ОтветитьI literally just bought mine wtf
ОтветитьI love to work/contribute on GoXLR open source ...
ОтветитьIt's mad that official support for a product so expensive can just... end. Welcome to 2023, I guess!
Ответитьi have a behringer xenyx 302usb, and was looking to get the goxlr mainly so i can control other audio channels while gaming and talking on discord (don't really stream or make videos, just want a good audio setup). also wanted to get something so when i launch a freshly installed game, i want to be able to turn the volume down on that game and hear others talking (can't stand how loud games are when you first start them for the first time and you can't hear anything else) are there any other devices besides the razer mixer and goxlr that can do all that?
ОтветитьSad news.... make a video review over M-Game, please. Thanks
Ответитьmust be old
ОтветитьThe Rode Duo is going to take the crown.
Ответитьany suggestions for another sampler that is setup the same way as goxlrs?
ОтветитьThat's why I'm glad that I bought the Wave XLR instead. I trust Elgato's longevity way more. The lack of direct inputs sucks, but it's not super difficult to work around, and I have a second interface just in case. Works flawlessly with VST's and Stream Deck too.
ОтветитьMeybe there is posibility to see you doing review of this thing? I kinda looks promising, just not can’t find value review
ОтветитьWell timed video, I was looking for something to get
ОтветитьFuck i just mine!!! Wtf
ОтветитьI love using my stream deck plus with my SSL2+ audio interface. IT'S PRETTY AMAZING. My rodecaster 2 sits on the side if i ever need it. With having both im covered.
ОтветитьBuy a UAD Apollo TwinX Quad if you've the budget. If not, get a Midas MR18.
ОтветитьM-Audio M-Game Solo is another GoXLR-alike. Its software is buggy but going on sale for $75 regularly its a not bad entry level product for all the features and hardware controls it has. The Duo has more features but the dual-PC mode just seems to add more software issues.
ОтветитьIts time to compare budget av1 codecs? rx7600 x 4060 x a750?
Ответитьquestion about the elgato wave xlr can you use a xlr splitter for 2 xlr mic audio ?
ОтветитьWow, that was a close call, i was looking in the market for a new interface and was thinking about the boxer but wanted something that was a bit smaller but i was very close just to buying it, so I dodged a bullet on that one.
ОтветитьI have been using the RodeCaster Pro 2 since it was released. It is awesome!!!
ОтветитьThe words you want to look for in audio interface is "class compliant" which means it is agnostic to operating systems and near universally supported without additional software.
ОтветитьFYI as someone who knows, the TC-Helicon office actually was shut down 2 months ago, they are just telling you now. Pretty much the entire original team has been gone for 3 years now and with little to no knowledge transfer as well as failure of management, the remaining team was struggling to maintain the GoXLR and existing products, let alone release anything.
ОтветитьI have the rodecaster pro 2 and it is one of the most fun devices I've ever had, I use it pretty much every day, it's a shame that the ppl didn't really look up the capabilities of the device also before they bought, the Go XLR apparently requires the drivers/software to run which was a big no go for me, since the rodecaster pro 2 is UAC2 compliant, I could plug it in to a freaking IoT cat feeder and it would probably work.
ОтветитьI remember I spent months trying to save up for the GoXLR Mini and when I finally got it I was overjoyed and loved all the different functions for my live streams! Sad to see all the people getting laid off. But I'm glad a small group has decided to pick up the torch and continue the work the devs had started on.
