Thank you brother, for this wonderful litany dedicated to Great St. Joseph. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Some people seem to think that Jesus loves his mother more than his foster father, therefore in some artworks, Jesus is depicted to be more intimate with Mary than with Joseph. However, there’s one thing I think people have missed. When Jesus was betrayed and handed over to the hands of his enemies, Jesus said in Matthew 26:53, “Do you think that I cannot call upon my Father and he will not provide me at this moment with more than twelve legions of angels?” Nobody could ever harm Jesus if Jesus did not want to be harmed.
Back to the beginning of the Book of Matthew, Herod wanted to take the life of the newborn Messiah, God the Father could’ve sent angels to destroy Herod’s armies, and it would be impossible to hurt Jesus. Yet, instead of legions of angels, the life of the eternal Son as well as that of His Mother were placed in the hands of Joseph alone. From this we can tell how much trust both God the Father and the Son placed in St. Joseph.
