Best drummer ever.
Ответитьyeah.. then go watch buddy rich
ОтветитьWhen Gene take over the drums in the background you can see a guy on guitar and a guy on violin! How can you hear them with the horns and drums? BTW, what the hell is a violin doing there?
ОтветитьHow in seven hells can one play with such absolutely precision while keeping the music breathing and relaxed?
ОтветитьGene Krupa a absolutely fabulous entertainer who changed forever the drummer in music. Gene put his drum set right out front used his incredible talent to put on a show and moved the drummer away from his traditional position stuck in the back behind the band. He changed the face of music for drummers.
ОтветитьI love the stick twirls!
ОтветитьSong is ‘Leave Us Leap’ 1945
Ответитьwhat is the name of this?
ОтветитьI heard Gene was a big influence on Bonham so he was cool in my book, ..you can totally hear it..Bonzos homage
ОтветитьEasy to see who Keith Moon was influenced by
Ответитьすげえー。ほんとカッコいい。
Ответитьa monster of drummer
ОтветитьHow cool. Now drummers are expected to play parts that were programmed by idiot non-drummers, and treated like expendable slaves. The trash pile keeps getting bigger as the years go. Gene is toiling in his grave watching this modern day stupidity.
ОтветитьThe best to ever do it drum 🥁
ОтветитьThat was Charlie Ventura on tenor!
ОтветитьThere's a short clip of him with a band in the Best Years of Our Lives that I watched repeatedly. Ecstatic, bursting with joy. Oh yeah.
ОтветитьHE was a rock & roll drummer before rock & roll.
Ответить"Gene is the begin & the end of the Jazz drummers.."(Buddy Rich)
Ответитьwow listen to the Peter Criss drum solo from Alive. His idol was Gene Krupa and you can totally hear it.
ОтветитьLeave Us Leap
ОтветитьWhat movie is this from?
ОтветитьThis guy puts more feel into his hand claps than any other drummer I have ever seen. He means it. His drumming is on fire.
Ответитьdoes anyone know what tune this is?
Ответить♥️🖤♥️🖤
ОтветитьGene Krupa is genuinely one of the coolest motherfuckers of all time.
ОтветитьCan you imagine how many drummers now were inspired by people like this man and Buddy Rich and many others from this time. Amazing
ОтветитьOn top of being a great big band swing drummer there's something you can't fake about this ... he was so cool that way. That was his love of playing. Along with being maybe the greatest showman in a real sense
ОтветитьYou can definitely see how Keith Moon may have been influenced by him. Even his mannerisms are similar.
ОтветитьSong: Leave Us Leap
ОтветитьSo much energy in connection with such well-thought out lines. His motions almost defy the sounds he is making. Such great showmanship, but with great taste. No one was doing anything like this on the big stages at that time.
ОтветитьReal skin heads, much fatter sound......
ОтветитьNow going back to 40 years of Chick Webb.
ОтветитьIn one brief clip you have everything that endeared Krupa to the fans. He was a phenomenal showman of the drum set. His crouching intensity, physical dynamism, and sheer good looks made him a huge star. And yes, he could really, really play. He was also said to be a warm, generous guy.
ОтветитьI think I have just understood why does Ian Paice like his drumming so much!
Ответитьaugem em 2020
ОтветитьIt's always like Christmas morning to me when I hear Gene. He just makes me feel happy!
Ответитьcome to see after Ian Paice told me to do it...
ОтветитьIan Paice sent me here
ОтветитьAnyone who knows where I can find this song on Spotify? Or something along this kind of alley? Love his playing!
ОтветитьI'm glad I'm not the only one who sits like that while playing drums
ОтветитьThe best drummer of his time. Even in his later days he still but on a great performance. Happy to see one of last performances.
ОтветитьHow is he so tight with the band coming back in on cymbals after his solos?! Is the structure pre-written or are the band just watching him like a hawk?
ОтветитьCan anyone tell me title of this song
ОтветитьGene was great but id take Buddy, Bellson or Morello
ОтветитьObviously, this what influenced the mad drummer Steve Moore.
