I’m with you on hating Swedish fish
ОтветитьWait, if pandora is a woman, then does that make pandora's box ... ?
Ответитьso before pandora, everyone was gay. got it. 👍
ОтветитьCan you please make a Video about the Nosoi? Information about them is so hard to find! They are so interessting!
Ответитьthe first mortal girlboss
ОтветитьWell dang, I guess Andrew tate has been here since the Greek age by the implications of this story
Ответитьcommon zeus being a jerk
ОтветитьWhy did zeus even punish the humans they just followed what their creator told them to do like bro got pissed because humanity tried to live 💀
ОтветитьI’m still not sure why hope was ever in the jar. Is hope evil? If we always have hope then why is it still in the jar? Is it only the things in the jar that matter? But then why is lifespans and disease escaping a big deal at all?
ОтветитьFun fact when I saw the original telling myth of Pandora I thought my friend was lying to me. Because the "she was made to make mens lives hard as the perfect women" sounded like a dirty joke to 14 year old me. I am still shoked that I was wrong as the several female goddess got all in on this plan...
ОтветитьIsn't being cunning and deceiving a character trait of every Greek Hero. Seems like I remember several videos I watched making a point about how cleverness and trickery is considered a vitue to Greece so Oddeseus, Hermes, and even Hercules at times show how clever they are.
ОтветитьThe female gender already existed long before Pandora came around and, if beings like the Titanesses are to be believed, was smart & pretty. Zeus really only weakened man with the jar of evils; women, not so much.
ОтветитьThis video and a conversation with a parent led me to looking into Pandora more closely, and her possible pre-Hessiod characterization is *fascinating*. Also it makes me dislike Hessiod even more because it looks like he took an originally interesting and more important character and made her into a scapegoat (it was probably already drifing that way but still).
ОтветитьWoman
Woe-is-man.
It is in the nature of man to love women...but y'all are confusing.
Ancient Greece: (Claims women were invented intelligent and pretty by the gods so they are evil)
Also Ancient Greece: (Has female gods and one of them is Athena)
Did tis guy just call Athena, the merciless, strategist and warrior god alongside Ares, an idiot? Or Hera, the one that will punish you if she's offended by you as well?
I think the similarities between Hesiod’s early telling of the Pandora myth and the genesis narrative about the fall of man are pretty interesting
ОтветитьHow was Pandora the first woman if Aphrodite gave her gifts? Was she just the first human woman or were the female Gods not considered women by our definition?
ОтветитьConsidering we have a greek originating word for insanity or mania that was originally considered a symptom of having a womb, these unfortunate biases really shouldn't be surprising. The ancient greek incel energy is strong and abundant lmfao
ОтветитьNow the swedish fish I can agree with!
ОтветитьEveryone knows Pandora's box was a woman's cookie, right?
