I think this is type of conservation is key, wherever you live, and whatever type of conservation needs implementing.
Having travelled/worked all over the uk, I was always astounded by the fact that soooo many people didn't know their own area, or give it any priority or interest in their life. I agree, that encouraging local people to be interested in their own area's wildlife and landscape, can make a very big difference in the long run.

The fact that those trophy hunters and poachers seeing this video makes them not care. It's really sad to see that the society do horrible things like this today. Even if this video is shown only a few parts of the community will just show affection. The fact that they have brains and they just keep doing is an eyesore.

I've always thought Africa should let poachers know these animals bring in huge amounts of tourists and money so why not train the poachers to actually watch over the animals and pay them a livable wage since it seems like a lot of poachers do it out of desperation

There must be an international platform and Law all over the world there are hunters and organizations that make money on all animals including Whales Snakes and Birds everthing that breathes. Didn't the trophy Hunter that shot Cecil pay over $50,000 USD to kill the lion? Apparently the conservationists in your community agreed that the money would benefit the conservation efforts there. They weighed the value of one lions life against the value of the $50,000 to be used for other efforts? I'm genuinely curious if people think about this.. you have to think about the issue from both sides in order to understand it fully.
