Going from Lyrics to Music - Part 1: Rhythm

I just inherently had this techniquenin my own mind honestly I literally, did the same I did the same ! In my dream even while making a song I was writing and singing the lyrics in rhythm to see if it fits in the rhythm or not because that's how we construct the melody right ? Then we can put those rhythmic words at certain points make it slow or fast as per the mood of the song and add a rhythmic sound and then make a melody with chords I am gonna make songs in every scale with their chord progression my best choice is always mystical deep silent songs and second dancing pop songs these both types I like a lot ! Yess correct ! It's the song writing fitting choosing words in the rhythm then you can fit in whatever melody you want to fit as simple as that !

when i tap, it doesnt record the melody like it does for you. it keeps going to whatever the default note was, not by press. how do i make it like the one in the video? Thanks

Im trying to write a song for my ex I know what to say in my lyrics but I dont know how its sung and Im struggling to find a melody or chords that fit the mood of the song(But I am using bad free Piano Sounds so that may be the reason why everything sounds bad but I dont have money to buy a good piano library or Keyboard Workstation). And I cant find a songwriter anywhere who knows what he is doing to help me. Everyone I asked didnt have the skills for it.

I have NOT watched a SINGLE FRAME, but for DAYS as I am starting with lyrics (because it seems the only way for "me" to productively write and progress as a beginner.), NO ONE has had ANY advice but "Start with the instrumentals first"... BUT they weren't listening to my dilemma.

My lyrics are already developing a swing and bounce, but I don't know HOW to place the Time signature inside of the D.A.W. so that I can capture a "lead instrument" to "Fill in for my syllables" as a guide to write around... and MAYBE i'm doing it wrong.. But, it seems to make sense from a "problem-solving" perspective as I face new challenges.

When I tried to use this tool, my finger tapping only records whatever the duration is set too. I can't seem to get it to record the different durations that I want for my rhythm, using this method.
