Italian bitter aperitifs my favourite.
Hard to find this extensive range in Christchurch New Zealand
My favourite was Campari until they changed an ingredient from natural to artificial
ОтветитьBellissimo video.
My favorite is chocolate, in fact I just bought two bottles of chocolate bitters!
ОтветитьNice video. Do Amaros need to be stored in the fridge?
ОтветитьNew sub great channel what a professional experience 👏
ОтветитьHey pal great video what recommendations do you have for a fan of chocolate and coffee bitter flavors? 😋
ОтветитьGreat explanation
ОтветитьKeep this up , you are helping me a lot as i am entering the professional bartending road right now. Good job and great explanation.
ОтветитьHey! Enjoyed your video and picked up a bottle of the Rucolino. I enjoyed it however I expected it to be more bitter… I am looking for an Amaro that is quite bitter on the finish, but sweet/floral/caramel when it first hits the pallet. Any recommendations??? 😊
ОтветитьI am italian and i’ve been drinking a glass of amaro after every meal for the past 20 years, and for me the best amari are Braulio, Fernet and Montenegro
ОтветитьHello from Italy! My favourite amari are Vecchio Amaro del Capo, Averna and Montenegro, which I drink by themselves after dinner. Anyway almost all of them are fine, it's funny to try them one by one and discover your favourite ones.
ОтветитьCrazy good content, thanks!
ОтветитьI would never drink this
ОтветитьFunny that you placed the Zucca to the right towards more bitter. I found the sweetness to take a hold of the biternes at the end, the contrast being so large that I didn't even enjoy it by itself. I find Lucano and Cynar are more balanced in that sense. Vecchio Amaro del Capo would be a great one missing here. I've never seen the Cynar 70, the Varelli one or that brand of Fernet, really interesting!
ОтветитьThis video is so good. Incredibly helpful!
Ответить“No poison” Points to ALCOHOL with ARTIFICIAL coloring in it.
ОтветитьThank you for the very informative video (as are all of your videos) One of my favorite hot weather drinks is Averna and San Pellegrino Limonata.
ОтветитьA friend of mine bought me a bottle of Sfumato Rabarbaro, which is a rhubarb-based amaro, similar, I imagine, to Zucca but sweeter. I don't think I'd want to drink it straight. A little thick and sweet for my taste, but it makes for some interesting mixed drinks.
Ответить"Amari" is also a Japanese word, meaning, "not really." haha
"Do you love me?"
"Amari."
(Goes off and cries...)
Dark chocolate and coffee
ОтветитьFirst amaro I tried was CioCiaro, started on the sweet end and moved towards more bitter over time with Cynar and Campari. Amari are great neat, but some soda water and a twist of lemon really opens it up so recommend it like that if you're at an amari-centric bar.
ОтветитьWhat a great video
ОтветитьTy... ive been teaching myself classic italian cooking and am going to attempt a traditional 9 course meal, so I think I will have a few intensities of amaro for the digestif! Ty for the primer .. I dont mind buying a few bottles but I would hate to come home with 3 bottles of all heavy pastery or medicinal! 😆
Ответить"There is no poison in any of these bottles."
"What do you call it when you drink way to much of those bottles?"
"alcohol.... poisoning...."
Where would Jagermeister and Becherovka range in this line-up?
ОтветитьI recently bought a amaro braulio but cant seem to find a cocktail to work with it. Do you have any auggestions for me?
Cheers
This is so nice and informative, thank you
ОтветитьDon’t forget Amaro CioCiaro very well balanced cola - ish flavor
ОтветитьI love your presentation style; non-pretentious, and informative!
ОтветитьWow. This video cracked the whole amaro mystery wide open for me. Thank you, the flavor range explanation was excellent in helping me choose my next bottle of amaro to explore.
Ответитьhai dimenticato il Fernet BRANCA e la China MARTINI.
greetings from Italy.
What a lovely man! Having or allways try to have a bottle of Fernet or/and Montenegro in the fridge.
ОтветитьAs a novice, I would like to know where you would put Campari and Aperol on the scale. I guess more towards the pastry style, but would they be like the most pastry ones in comparison to the other brands you lined up here?
ОтветитьThis is really informative, and helpful. Thank you!
Ответитьcoffee, Hops, pepper, Fir(piney flavors line juniper or birch)
Ответитьyou forgot Amaro del Capo, Amaro Luxardo and Fernet Branca!
ОтветитьNO CAMPARI ???
ОтветитьRecently picked up Amaro dell’Etna. Good on its own or in a black Manhattan. Mother in law loves Vecchio Amaro del Capo.
ОтветитьAlso, arranging them from sweetest to most bitter was very helpful.. I shall arrange them the same way in my bar!
ОтветитьSuch a great video! Now I need them all
ОтветитьI am about to open a new bar in my hometown of El Paso, Tx with its main focus on Amari liqueurs and cocktails, something that’s totally new to my town, hopefully you can visit some time if everything goes well!
Ответитьtry Amaro del Capo... wonderful ! greetings from Italia.
ОтветитьGreat lesson for me and just as I had a bout of indigestion and acid reflux. I reached for amaro and bingo! Relief. I had no idea it was truly medicinal.
ОтветитьIs Amaro di angostura a type of Amaro??
ОтветитьBro i tried Fernet Branca and Averna today and the difference between them is massive indeed. Averna is very nice, smooth, citrusy, I'd enjoy it simple on rocks but boy the Fernet is insanely bitter , it gave me a throw up sensation after 3 sips. Is probably best served in cocktails.
ОтветитьGreat video. My 2 faves are not on the bar but if you are into Amaros try all of em. Jefferson Amaro and Amaro Di Toscana are 1 and 2 for me. Jefferson is very citrus and easier to drink similar to Lucano and Amaro Di Toscana is a bit on the bitter end.
