Segovia has Arabic, Iberian and Roman architecture. not muslim
ОтветитьWhat month did you go? what was the weather like?
ОтветитьSome repairs were made in the Alcazar, which required drilling some walls, and inside they found a old Roman fortress: the Alcazar or castle is built over an old Roman fortress
ОтветитьJames, please do a video of Salamanca!
ОтветитьSegovia should have been the capital of Spain, it was considered at one point but the catholic monarchs had other plans and decided to just get married there. Segovia is considered the cultural heart of Castille and the sights there are absolutely amazing. If I had to live in Central Spain somewhere Segovia would definitely be my top choice!
ОтветитьUpon your recommendation we traveled to Segovia and have truly enjoyed the city!!! We also took in dinner at Jose Maria, it was simply fantastic. The food, service and ambiance were amazing. Just bring your appetite because the portions were very generous. I would suggest you plan on spending the night because the walk around the city at night is beautiful. Thanks James!!!!
ОтветитьI did an organized daytrip from Madrid to Avila and Segovia. Of course there was only time to see the highlights, but it was worth it. Beautifull cities. Unfortunately the rain poored almost the whole day, so I would suggest to visit on a dry day 😉 The aquaduct was my personal best. So incredible to see such an old, preserved impressive structure!
ОтветитьLuce rico el chicharrón!
ОтветитьI will be in Madrid next month and only have time for one day trip. I was planning on going to Toledo, but the aqueducts and castle now make me want to change my plans… should I?
ОтветитьYou did a great job as always! However I wouldn’t be interested in visiting Segovia due to its Jewish history and lack of cuisine variety
ОтветитьGreat video James thank you very much👍
ОтветитьWell, cheerful music for the pig dissection 😂 Another wonderful vlog. Love Yoli’s laugh. It always adds so much to the narration 😊
ОтветитьThat bell tower was magnificent. I watched this video at least once, but like many of your videos, I revisit them because I always learn something new the 2nd time around.
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьSegovia is beautiful and I liked your video, however, I think that you could have used a different song instead of Andalusian flamenco, which isn't traditional to this part of Spain.
ОтветитьThank you for the fantastic tour! I'm planning on visiting here next Feb/Mar, what sort of weather can I expect?
ОтветитьThose poor Pigs 😢 But hey, all in the name of culture and tradition right? I look forward to seeing you visit a bullfight.
ОтветитьBuen video, pero la música seleccionada no es la adecuada.
ОтветитьThe best city tour
ОтветитьI’ve been to Segovia twice and have loved it. You did a magnificent job and now I have to go back one day to go to Jose Maria. 🇦🇺
ОтветитьGreat video!!!!
Beautiful city.
We wil go to Segovia next trip to Madrid!
Ugh can someone make a video about SPAIN without “muh jews, muh moors”
ОтветитьYou don't talk about Casa Candido, the hams hanging from the ceiling, and hte little ceramic wine cups, but mainly its history.
Ответитьthe spinning was dizzying
ОтветитьIs Segovia at all crowded in February, any need to get tickets to the church ahead of time, etc?
ОтветитьOdd, it doesn't even mention St. John of the Cross...
ОтветитьI will do exactly the same trip☝️👍thank you
ОтветитьI know, that i'm a little late for the comment, but i wouldn't mind visiting segovia, just to check out the aqueduct.....❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊
ОтветитьLoved your video we were there in November 23 loved it
ОтветитьI loved Segovia. It's so dense in history and sites. I'm surprised that there are no documentaries or coverage of the Zuloaga family lineage. They have a museum in their honor, but no coverage on the fact that Juan Daniel Zuloaga still has a living/breathing pottery studio. He carries on the family trade/art. I believe he's the 5th generation potter. He was the highlight of my visit to Segovia.
ОтветитьThanks for the video. My family and I will be staying in Segovia for a week in May. Absolutely beautiful. We are even more excited now.
ОтветитьIf you only had one day to visit Avila and Segovia or Toledo, which trip would you do?
ОтветитьSubscribed!
ОтветитьYou inspire me. I'm a Kiwi too, and hope to make it back to Spain (for a second time) next year. If I do, Segovia will be on my agenda! I love your Spain travel and food videos.
ОтветитьLOVE LOVE LOVE SEGOVIA!!! I went in the height of summer and sat in the jewish quarter drinking vermouth all afternoon. Was the best experience. One of my most favourite places in the world.
ОтветитьYou didn't understand, Rabbi Avraham Senior did not choose to become a Christian, he was forced to become a Christian. The king's presence in the ceremony allows him to choose only between death and life as a Christian. It broke his heart and he passed away about a year later.
ОтветитьA beautiful video. To point out a few other places of interest in Segovia, I would recommend the Paseo del Salón, the Poets' Garden, the Mauricio Fromkes garden square, walking the path that goes from the Church of La Veracruz to the San Lorenzo neighborhood, passing above the Parral Convent— from there, the views of the city are incredible. And outside the city, the province offers wonderful visits, both in nature and to its towns: the Hoces of the Duratón and Riaza rivers, La Sierra de Guadarrama y Ayllón, the Royal Palace of La Granja, Pedraza, Ayllón, Maderuelo, Cuéllar, Turégano, Sepúlveda, Fuentidueña... to name the most notable ones.
ОтветитьThank you very much.
ОтветитьThanks for your awesome video. Coming soon
ОтветитьGreat communicator! Intelligent, fun, sweet, showing wonders in the nooks and crannies, gratitude! Subscribed. 🌹🙌
Ответитьhi James, I just saw your video on Segovia. We are traveling to Madrid in December for Christmas, December 9th through the 15th.
We would like to do a couple of day trips and thought Segovia and Toledo would be perfect. How can we get in touch with Elena when in Segovia? We would like to have the opportunity to cover as much of the city and learn of the rich history from a local.
Thank you
Great timing! I've been in Madrid for a couple of weeks and I'm heading to Segovia next week. Great and timely video. Thank you!
ОтветитьI studied in Segovia. I absolutely loved this tour as it brought back so many memories. Thank you! My favorite place to go after studying was Oso Blanco’s to have a delicious glass of Sangria.
ОтветитьI like The enthusiasm with which you present yourself I think that's great. Question: do you really think one day in Segovia is enough?
ОтветитьA pintxo tour of Pamplona, when?
Ответить🐷 What did you think of my ideal day in Segovia? What did I miss? Let us know! 👇🏽
