Pioneer DJ or Alpha Theta?
ОтветитьNice
ОтветитьAlpha Theta is like the Apple products of the DJ world. You get minimalist design, limited functionality for premium pricing. This is just a social experiment by the company to see how much money people are willing to spend for long overdue features like streaming media that are offered by Denon at 1/3 of the cost.
Ответитьprime go is better.
ОтветитьThis whole battery powered and Bluetooth thing is too much. Simply useless and a waste of resources. The price is funny for a posers setup that is bad for the environment.
ОтветитьAs usual incredibile and great Video! Thank you so much
ОтветитьOk so like I'm never gonna buy it or anything cause it's way too expensive but i do like the standalone mixed with wireless recording, a setup like this could make life sampling from gear like a groovebox or modular synth output to Bluetooth a nicer process which is good
ОтветитьI would rather buy if i know its high resolution sound. without worldwide marketing P wouldnt be nearly "everywhere" in clubs. Comparing to A&H, Rane and Denon there is a sound-quality gap.
I like the Euphonia concept. Less is more if the given space is used for better quality equipment.
But comparing to ecleer...even a warm4 is half the price.
Electronic parts dont cost much. The concept of the display is great but, and now let's be honest, why everyone has to pay profit margins of xxx% comparing to the costs of the parts with every new gear?
and what is new?
what was the last real knew thing everyone has to pay for......the fucking button for the revolution of Fakers...the Sync button.
Now, with nearly every Dj-Gear with Displays....you have all the helpers.....from sync button to red bar lines like in dj-software....
Isnt it a dishonour to Djing itself if you have to pay more and more and more to be up to date (like to play in clubs)?
I want to pay for good parts for high quality music and all those controller are kidstoys or beginnerstuff.
If Alphatheta dont stop to build in all the "helpers"....instead of some connections to something like sync-gear, i would never change my mind to pay thousands of euros or would buy anything new.
i bought the 350ies second hand. One reason because they cant sync and only have a simple barmode on display (which you dont need after some hours mixing by ears ) and are connectable to rekordbox, to get to understand to be "up to date".
If all who need help can adapt that with extra-gear. ...than aphatheta would turn back professional. like the fx controller....way much better than the build in stuff....so why to try to put all in one everytime again and again?....let the fakers pay more or all who need extra´s (how would be an adable display), but not all other who has a passion to djing. there could be a useless knob instead of a sync button to use the adable display. than there is more space for quality parts. there is enough beginner equipment. may opus quad is different but you hear the difference at the floor inside a club if a dj ends on cdj and a new one starts with his connected controller.
As a long time Rane MP2015 user, I was always wondering if/when somebody would create a new age version of that wonderful device and the Alpha Theta 'seems' to be that device. I haven't seen one in the flesh yet, but it makes me smile to know that somebody thought about us rotary heads that want a new age digital mixer with top quality sound... Having said all that, I still LOVE my MP2015 and will rock with it until the wheels come off.. LOLOL
Ответитьo7 Rest in piss Pioneer you had a good run
ОтветитьThe thumbnail, I thought it was a Denon Prime Go, I was looking for vids on that unit and found this one even more informative! Had no idea about this, thx Carlo for the good info.
Ответитьi like your videos like always, but this controller is garbage, pioneer dj for sure.
ОтветитьThe price is high, but anyone who has tried the Omnis Duo knows that it absolutely bangs
ОтветитьWTF? You said "believe me i have tried them all" and none of them in the video are standalone. Where is standalone Numark and Denon DJ?
Ответить$3999 in Australia hahahah what a joke for this gimmick
ОтветитьI've been using Pioneer since 2000's. From DJM600 to NXS2 when it comes to mixers.
Seeing how they are raising prices with every new model, I don't think I'll ever buy another thing from them. Hey, we have a new CD player. It's 500€ more. Hey, we have a new mixer, it's 500€ more.
Hey. I don't care anymore. Go rip off influencers and Twitch dolls, im done here.
EDIT: Maaaaaybe.. The new turntable is still worth mentioning and actualy pretty good. Other than that, hard no.
This awesome controller makes scene video my friend
ОтветитьHey DJ Carlo, great review. The show stopper for me for not buying the Opus Quad was the lack of Slip Mode - what are your thoughts on it not having Slip Mode?
ОтветитьSucks Pioneer is better
Ответитьalthough I'm more than happy with my DENON DJ Prime GO, this review was interesting <3 not gonna change tho ;)
ОтветитьCan you hook it up to a wireless speaker and what about stems?
Ответитьidk my xone 92 feels better
ОтветитьThis is one UGLY looking device .Been using Pioneer for more than 12 years (the top devices) but this imo is priced only for the name PIONEER. i checked price and wow i wont pay 2k +$ for this 😂. All these all in one from pioneer looks like 👎 .My -latest device Denon Prime Go at half the price of this duo is the way to go. Hope denone will bring a Prime GO 2 or pluss version. But hi all this is just me 😉
ОтветитьThe finish on the omnis duo looks soft and rubberised. If that is the case (pardon the pun) give it a year and it will be sticky and feel horrible to use. Elektron made the same mistake (rubberising the buttons on their newer models~ jump online to see how many issues people have had with them- especially if you live in a warmer climate. Give it half a year and it will be sticky and covered in fluff.
To me it looks small, and judging by how softly this dude is is going on the cross fader I’d say he’s worried about breaking it.
It’s portability and battery life’s a cool feature but sampling music via Bluetooth from your phone- I can’t imagine the quality is gonna be all that great. Looks like fun if you wanna get into DJing or you and your housemates wanna chip in for a living room set up but personally I can’t see this controller lasting for more than a couple of years before it breaks. Hopefully that’s not the case!
Is the load time on OMNIS-DUO load time of tracks better than xdj rx3?
ОтветитьI don't care if they drop the Pioneer brand name. As long as it good quality, I don't care what brand it is and thus far I like what I see!
ОтветитьThey coppied dennon prime go😂
Ответитьno streaming? No thanks
ОтветитьUSB port on the back seems dangerous
Ответитьreally have to say that. I tested the "Omnis Duo" thing in a DJ store in Germany about 4 weeks after it initial release. I don't know how many people have tested this exakt unit before I did, but since the device was only available for 4 weeks, I don't think thousand of people had their hands on it. But the quality, the buttons, the faders... everything felt so cheap! some buttons haven't been responsive, faders where shaking around. Really not good quality. For that price point it felt like a 200€/$ DDJ-400. Yes, it has way more functions than DDJ-400 but for almost 7-times the price I want to have better build quality.
ОтветитьAfter comparing the Opus Quad to the Denon DJ Prime 4+, I went with the latter. The Pioneer is lacking streaming capes, performance pads and $1500 more. I love my Denon.
ОтветитьWhat is your opinion on the hercules inpulse 500 in 2024? Is it still worth buying?
Ответитьexcept cdj 3000 everything is a failure
ОтветитьI like your Jonny cab style from total recall
ОтветитьI will still take DDJ1000 over this any day of the week.
ОтветитьHonestly the only reason to get it for me would be as a backup :D
ОтветитьI don't care what anyone says if you are two different brands owned by the same company selling to the same market that's quite strange surely you would already push the successful brand you already have and make it better and wider to the market with a high mid and low end product?
ОтветитьYou lost me when you showed yourself doing a spin while DJing.
ОтветитьFACTS. plenty djs been outplaying (online) with just hercules inpulse control
Skill >>> controller
Are you sponsored?
ОтветитьIs hercules inpulse 500 still worth it? I’m looking to buy my first controler and start djing
Ответить“Send requests” HHAHAHA
ОтветитьOmnis Duo reminds me of Stanton SCS.4DJ
ОтветитьPioneer fanboys are to blame. Those who supported subscription based models, paid ridiculous amounts for gear years behind Denon's, and the list goes on...
ОтветитьNice review, FLX4 still hits the money for my daily shenanigans.
ОтветитьHow much did they pay you bro? As a long time viewer of your content, it's disappointing that this feels like a big advertisement.
Ответитьreloop mix tour pro now is the go
Ответитьdead now
ОтветитьThe design is nice. Like an Apple minimalist vibe. Also looks like it’s just for vibey DJing. Maybe house, chill music, throwbacks, etc. Not really new hyper type of DJing with all the effects and transitions. I’d buy it to mess around if it was in the $1k range.
