Essee 6 1095 blade good for bushcrafting and survival.

Esee 4 is my favorite, I've also used a gerber prodigy and a short ka-bar which were both great. Knives are nothing to skimp out on and are overlooked by alot of people who just buy something that looks cool instead of functional. Looking forward to your extended review!

If you want a crossover bushcraft-tactical knife... This is the knife for that. Blade geometry is sick, designed for other worldly edge retention. It's stabby and it's exceedingly good at bushcraft tasks. One major failure, and there's only one, is that though it will throw sparks with the spine, the jimping is where it needs to throw em and the edge is not a sharp 90. Needs touch up. Three of the guys I know run these as a one knife option for tactical and field survival. Need to mod the spine, everything else is God level good. Not a great food slicer but that's to be expected. Batons well!
