I don't get it why everybody is mad at Indonesia when it's Aceh's own rule. Aceh Is a special region, which mean they're more of a state then a province. And remember, states can implement their own rules. For Aceh, it is following the Islamic Syari'ah Law. Which mean that everyone that violates those laws will have to pay their consequences no matter what. Remeber, this law is only used in Aceh and not in every Indonesian provinces.

P.S: i am Muslim Indonesian that lives in Bali. And no, there is no such thing as caning in here. Neither in Java Or Kalimantan. The reason why Bali does't have that is because the majority of the population is Hindu. (Also because we are only a province. Which mean the country's government is the one controlling the laws)
