Mechanical failure of what? kind funny why the forces don't tell the public or family's why the engines failed. Same for my dead bother in the Navy. lost both engines. No answers.
Ответить6 years in the RAF plods, so got used to condescension on a grand scale from all types of officers, airman, squaddies, ( goes with the job so no sweat) etc BUT never met a jockey (pilot) who was anything but cool and reasonable.
Including, a phantom pilot who once said to me “dog handling must be a fascinating job”
Uuummmm not quite as fascinating as flying phantoms…….,,
Good drills Sir.....
ОтветитьIncredible job by the pilot. Can be proud of his actions for the rest of his career.
What's the bet the last words in the citation were " nothing more than we would expect from an RAF pilot ".
Well done Sir, much respect.
I'm not a pilot, but even I can see the skill and airmanship required for this feat. They touched down so softly that the crew didn't even realize they were down?! WELL DONE SIR!!
ОтветитьAviate, Navigate, Communicate: kept it flying, found the landing spot, phoned home
ОтветитьAs a german its always weird to read RAF and then its some kinda positive video lol...(for context, RAF is a german terrorist group)
ОтветитьThe sycamore manoeuvre wtf. Flow state.
ОтветитьDo we no what caused the failure?
ОтветитьTotal respect 🫡
ОтветитьReal Top Gun well done sir x
ОтветитьClearly a modest and understated soul. So why did you make him read his own citation? I cringed on his behalf there. But yes, a hero!
Ответить👏👏👏
ОтветитьHow old is this ? The early comments refer to "preparing him for deployment to Afghanistan". That's been over for nearly 2 years.
ОтветитьWell done sir, well done.
ОтветитьSo what is the fault that takes out THREE engines together, gearbox is all I can think of that would do it.
ОтветитьOh SIR-GOOD ON YOU! Incredible magnificent flying. SO glad for everyone involved AND their loved ones!!
ОтветитьI hope the Flt Lt will have opportunity to come to RAF SHAWBURY to share his experience with the trainer airscrew
ОтветитьWell done, Ben! Well done RAF - for the training.
ОтветитьCongratulations to Ben, great flying skills and airmanship. Well deserved AFC.
ОтветитьSo what actually caused the failure?
ОтветитьWas he a DEI hire?
ОтветитьNo one cares what went wrong with 3 engines simultaneously?
ОтветитьGreat job.
ОтветитьWell done, sir, and you have fantastic gloves.
ОтветитьTriple engine failure... 🤔
ОтветитьSo why did the engines fail? Fuel problem?
ОтветитьElephant in the room - what caused the triple engine failure?
ОтветитьUsed to think switching over from flying single engine helicopters in the bush, to twin engine IFR would be a much safer environment however, I’ve lost more friends in the heavy’s than light. Even with THREE engines, you can never be complacent…..ever!!! Well done lads.
Ответитьwhat was the outcome? what was the cause?
Ответить🇬🇧👍
ОтветитьA REAL hero!
ОтветитьWell done Ben, well deserved recognition.
ОтветитьTop job, congratz to you, for thinking and actions, top draw🎉✌️🙏🏴
ОтветитьWhat an amazing feat. Total respect 💪🇬🇧
ОтветитьHey look everyone, they're White. Clearly RAF pilots should never be White - that's racist - and we don't care if their replacements don't know which end of the airplane goes first as long as they're not White.
ОтветитьHe turned the Helicopter into a Gyrocopter..
ОтветитьWell done Sir ! A commendation well deserved.
ОтветитьSo why did a triple engine fail occur?
ОтветитьWhich Merlin and date was this happening? Remarkable pilot managing to land with that issue
ОтветитьGood stuff. Ok, what stopped all three engines?
ОтветитьLegend!. Nuff said!. 👍We'll probably not get to know why all the engines suddendly 'died'.
ОтветитьTop job by a true professional!
ОтветитьTotal respect for the pilot there ,now that is where training and experience comes into play , this pilot earned his wings by merit, not by ticking boxes.
Some years ago an Australian Blackhawk helicopter lost its tail rotor and somehow the pilot managed to land it safely, unbelievable flying it was .
As a HEMS pilot, one can tell that this is truly remarkable.
ОтветитьExelant pilot skills in flying and saving the crew😊
ОтветитьNo heroism there. It was pure luck.
ОтветитьThank You, Flight Lieutenant Ben Wallis! Your reflexive actions saved lives that night! I hope that you and others can instill the same training into future pilots, so that they may live to fly another day!
ОтветитьIt would be interesting to know what caused multiple engine failures.
ОтветитьSalute !
