idk the "escaping spawn should be difficult" thing is kind of cringe to me. Being all about "there are no rules" but then setting rules like that is kind of not anarchy. Their just slaves to their own tradition at that point.

So, basically the trench was made because people are assholes, it's funny how with every video about 2b2t I watch, I become less and less inclined to ever set foot on what with ever-increasing intensity appears as a real shithole of a server...

if you've ever attempted to escape the oldest anarchy server in Minecraft, chances are you used an nether portal for it and never heard of the spawn trench.

It's really quite amazing how much the world has changed from the original source. Almost nothing is left untouched in that square they dug a trench around. It's even crazier when you realize that only aout 50-60 players can be online at any given time

If they built this wall ALONG the wall, such that the wall runs down the middle of the trench, it would have been much more effective.

I considered joining the server but never did because of bullshit "public works" projects that makes it impossible to leave spawn.

Fit makes it sound like "patrolling players" will constantly be harassing you.. but ive played on 2b for years during peak.. during the night.. never once been attacked in spawn.. all these works that are "designed to trap new players" are merely annoyances that take 5 minutes to get around, if that.
