Where have you all been. Been doing these sims since early 90's. You can check my stream for all kinds of classics. It is how I learned about military, world history.
ОтветитьI just love to drive a jeep at night with the luminated dashboard and go town to town lit by a lamp post.
ОтветитьYou know a game is old when a nostalgic review is almost 10 years old as well. 😄
ОтветитьI still remember I almost had a heart attack while playing this game. I was 23 and trying to plant a bomb under a Soviet tank, somehow I alerted the guards and then the hell loose over. I pushed on pause, calmed myself for a while before returning to the mission.
ОтветитьThis was my childhood. Also I gotta say as a kid who did not speak English it was fun as an extra challenge to press every button and learn just from experience instead of knowing what it was from reading it. The map editor was the place obviously, but it still amazes me in a way how much I learned as a kid just messing around in it. I think I could do pretty advanced stuff, or for a kid anyway. Just proves that with time and effort you can accomplish so much.
ОтветитьI played this online a lot back then.
ОтветитьTo this day this is my top favorite game out of all. The single player campaigns were impecable. Me and my school buddy used to play it on two PC's in my house for months. Creating random scenarios on different maps. The peacekeeper DLC was IMO the best one. I've played all of them for so many times over. Arma didn't really click for me, plus at the time (and still on my 2018 computer) it was not running well and required a super powerful computer. I have a semi-powerful gamers laptop now made in 2018 and still it won't run smoothly smh.
ОтветитьI remember how impressed I was when I played a magazine CD demo of Op Flash for the first time, it was, as you say, as if they'd skipped ahead of the speed at which the FPS war game genre was evolving and created something that was totally revolutionary. There I was, a real, vulnerable soldier walking and travelling as part of a large group, following orders and only glimpsing enemy infantry occasionally. The journey in the truck was itself a revelation, and I was hooked at that point. The demo had you get into a truck with other troops, it then drove along a road for a while I think before going up the grassy slope of a hill. Just before the crest the order to dismount was given, from where the unit proceeded to go over the top and began to walk to the bottom of the next valley where a hamlet was situated. Hearing orders, seeing AI comrades running alongside you, hearing the crack of enemy shots but not seeing the foe most of the time, it was absolutely thrilling. Then the BMP or BRDM turned up, and we were ordered to retreat and did so with eagerness because I knew me - and my AI comrades - were vulnerable, hastily running back up the slope, and I think that's where the demo ended. I had greatly enjoyed the outdoor environments of Delta Force 2, but with Op Flash I knew I had found the game which would render all other war games second rate, lesser experiences no matter how glossy their graphics were.
ОтветитьI love this video, love this game.
ОтветитьBc ur gay
ОтветитьWow, can't belive this is 9 years old. Production values are so modern. You were ahead of your time.
ОтветитьBefore “ARMA” there was “OFP”.
Ответить......those barking dogs scared the hell out of me!!!! 🐕
ОтветитьI am reminded of this game often as I am playing disc golf, hiking or driving!
ОтветитьGreat with countless memories. Also learned many valuable quotes from great thinkers throughout history.
The best takeaway was that it definitely helped me develop an anti-war mindset. ♡
It’s nostalgic in one way ,I own the original demo on CD-ROM, when you realise that Arma3 milks the titz off you for bull addons that add nothing to the SP experience. The best SP experience with decades of replay
ОтветитьSomeone recreated the entire campaign of Cold War Assault into Arma 3
Ответитьwhen i don't know what to do with my life , i start ground attack , i light up some soviet convoy with my cobra
ОтветитьI was very impressed with ofp and played it alot in those days. No im happy that i get to play arma inforger preview on my xsx. Only wish i had a gaming pc,and could play arma 3
ОтветитьI played OFP as a child. That game was awesome, remember this fear when you heard incoming tank or helicopter. Many good memories with this one including dlc's Resistance and Red Hammer. Own mission editor was for me real sandbox with limitless oportunities
ОтветитьPlease remake this video without the video wide stretching. It's all distorced
ОтветитьHow to jump?
ОтветитьShit was ahead of its time.. im playing it on pc right now and its free to download btw
ОтветитьOH NO! TWO......IS DOWN.
ОтветитьI was watching just like it was a fresh video until he mentioned that cold war assault was "just released", looked down, oh, this video was released 8 years ago. And some scenes from Arma 3 still look brand new.
ОтветитьOperation Flashpoint and especially the editor, thank to them, i am now a SW developer :-) I remember the hundreds of hours spending on scripting and learning the principles. Even some mathematic operations, like trigonometry i have teached from the scripting (i was in 6. class of elementary school?). Even now, i play it for few minutes sometimes :-)
Ответитьspend so much time on that game, so much fun
ОтветитьHmm, arma reforger
ОтветитьI remember playing this online. Capture the flag. Some maps would not respawn ammo crates and vehicles in the base where you would respawn when you died so sometimes when I was bored and feeling trollish I'd hop in a plane or helicopter at the start of the game and go kamikaze into the other teams base destroying their ammo and vehicles and they'd be left with nothing 😂
ОтветитьI tried to buy this game again later on in life and couldn’t find the level of where all the vehicles where parked together in 0.17. Can anyone help ?
ОтветитьYeahh...righhttt...music haunts till date that getting killed from any where... Evergreen game(OFP Cold war crisis) ...no game can beat it.
Ответитьyou included the best line of the game, "you filled your shorts kozlowski?"
ОтветитьThis game was something else - I remember the trailer had some tag line like 'fight, run, hide' - it was literally a game that allowed you to do that. I remember the adrenaline of that mission where you are a POW and escaping into the night and not knowing whether a shot would ring out and strike you down.
Spent countless hours in the editor - loved making set piece staged battles especially. Try and hold Malden from a massive Soviet combined arms assault. What a game!
I used to play with this game back in the day when it was new and i accidentally figured out how to launch Abrams tanks multiple miles with ATmines and a 2nd tank
ОтветитьOFP was a game I dreamed for 10 years in 90s. Back then, only flight simulators gave some sort of freedom in big open world. When I was a kid, playing microprose's F-117, I was thinking of when my plane will be hit, I will eject, land on enemy territory and run across fields and forests to evacuation point, evading enemy patrols. It was a big deal back then, but, suddenly OFP gave it to me. Fantastic features and absolute freedom!
I remember, I was playing it whole summer of 2001 without rest.
It’s truely timeless. I played it for the first time in my life last year and it’s one of the best games ever made in my opinion. Better than ArmA. You can tell it was made by passionate and very clever people. And during a period where game development wasn’t rushed perhaps. Polished to perfection!
ОтветитьЯ играл вчера в офп, плохо что там нет распааана что бы солдаты и техника на карте сами появлялись и захватывали точки. А так игра норм если ещё с поддонами то вообще супер.
ОтветитьGuys I need can all 370 commands in editor mission Operation Flashpoint to inicialization field or triiger or waypoints without use scripts, without scriptings. Can someone me with it, wtih this help? :) I don't understand the instructions for the individual commands..
ОтветитьHOW DO I CHANGE THE FIRE RATE OF WEAPONS IN THIS GAME? THERE IS NO OPTIONS ON THE KEY BINDINGS! HELP PLS
ОтветитьI sometimes can still hear tanks when I try to sleep... Just the noise of their tracks... I might have PTSD just from this game, but I really enjoyed it since I was a kid
ОтветитьPlayed this a lot when i was younger xD made me remember project igi to loool but this one was hardcore...
Ответитьim still playing that...
best game in the world
jesus christ old video
Ответитьbest game ever
ОтветитьOh boy - just hearing that music at the start of the video brought me back to those islands. 20 years later I remember them so vividly.
Wonderful game.
I have the exact same feeling for the game. Houts in the editor making multi-squad assaults... (When I get Arma Reforger, the first place I'm visiting is Provins where my best mission played out. I play Arma 3 still, but I feel genuin fear when playing it so...
ОтветитьJust got the game its much more fun than most if not all games made today
ОтветитьI wish this game was for free again but I missed it by a whole year
Ответить
