I like how the general here isn't the stereotypical general in these sorts of movies who pretty much damns his own troops due to having tunnel vision on the target. When he sees that the Hulk escaped containment, he ordered full evacuation of all personnel from the facility and here he tells the pilots to hold their fire until the Hulk is away from the downed chopper who's pilots are clearly still alive.
