That looks wonderful, Ownderboy. Wonderful :)
ОтветитьThis is what martial arts is all about!
ОтветитьI love this, because it's just two passionate nerds sharing stuff they love and getting excited about it.
ОтветитьGuys, how tall are you? It seems, the difference between you is ca. 20 cm
ОтветитьMan, you look like a kid seeing Legos for the first time. So super excited! Lol. Thanks for all you do WB! Can't wait to see you in the ring again!
ОтветитьI think Wing Chun will struggle to convince the MMA Crowed because they want Wing Chun to look like drills during the fight, so when it works no one catches it.
ОтветитьI find your videos absolutely fascinating, informative, and awesome! new fan just binge watching all of your great videos!
ОтветитьWonderyboy’s timing is excellent. He can make anything work.
ОтветитьMy feeling is Wonder Boy has the reach advantage.
ОтветитьKevin can I come train with you some time
ОтветитьKevin what kind of wing chun is this? Its more like jeet kune do.
ОтветитьI just love seeing people who enjoy fighting and get pumped about anything to do with it!
Ответитьthompson was going easy on him.. wing chun would not work in the MMA arena. It is more suited for small spaces and from a static position in a street fight. I had to use it against a guy that came right at me, no time to move around and think, and my trapping and hubud drills came into use. I was lucky.
Ответитьhmmm? no thumbs up button?
ОтветитьThat is so great. A full generation of real martial artiste exchanging knowledge in a humble way. All that is truth rare martial art coming back to live.
Ответить🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьIt look very good
ОтветитьGreat video, helpful and demonstrates the proper attitude for any martial artist.
Thank you.
Wonder Boy is just a really good dude
ОтветитьSo wholesome ❤️
ОтветитьI love this channel
Ответитьnow I feel bad, wonder boy was so much more controlled than me 😢
ОтветитьBruh he intuitively started doing lap sao.
ОтветитьAwesome 😂
ОтветитьFantastic episode! Stephen so nice guy
Ответитьand they say wing chun can't come into mma... look at that! some good clean wing chun techniques.
ОтветитьThat trap backfist is my Sensei's "cheat" for point break sparring
ОтветитьWhen I'm boxing I love throwing in 3 to 5 chain punches after a jab lands square and they shell up. From there you can just let your hands go without thinking, and then switch all your attention to how they're reacting to your pressure - if they try to sneak in an overhand, you should have full visibility of the movement when they have little to none of yours, so you can elbow block and hard punish it. If they try to step back of offline you can react to that and pursue. If they just sit in their shell you can pretty much do whatever you want, step offline, rip apart their guard, get in body shots. Manny Pacquiao does this sometimes and I love it.
Ответить👍🙏🙏🙏
ОтветитьIf you're still checking comments and want some feedback, I feel like Wonderboy's techniques work especially well for him because of both his stance, but also his reach. He did a good job of applying what you showed him in large part because he's so much longer by comparison. He didn't adjust very much to a square stance so I think he might have trouble applying "trapping" and battle punching against a similarly sized fighter.
For you, at least with the kicks, I feel like you don't have the space to do any of the feint kicks Wonderboy showed because not only were you sticking more to your traditional square stance, but also you don't have the range or space to prevent such a long guy from stuffing you when you go for a kick with more than one technical step.
You're more experienced and knowledgeable than I am, but that was my observation, if it's of any use.
Awesome to see Wonderboy in this....
ОтветитьHas anyone noticed that the wing chun stance with the right arm forward is the opposite of the old school boxing stance with the left arm forward?
ОтветитьCan't believe I forgot to sub until now, sorry :)
ОтветитьClash of gents :)
Ответитьyour wing chun content is dope, I remember for years ppl would be like "oh that doesn't work, its fake, etc." I never believed them bc about 20 yrs ago when I was in hs one of my teachers was a wing chun master and he had all the respect from the "troublemaker" kids cuz he would give them life advice but would also prove his techniques weren't fake, usually by demonstrating them on ppl lol. Anyways one time i wanted to see for myself so I asked if we could to light sparring in class (i was taking boxing at the time) and he demonstrated how much faster and stronger he was. I tried to parry his punch that he threw very casually, both of our forearms clashed, except im sure his was intentional, and I swear to god I thought he broke my forearm. I went down immediately in pain. Anyways he was a legend in school, and whenever someone would say wing chun doesn't work, I would think back to him and be like well it works for some ppl, and let me tell you I wouldn't want to go up against that teacher in a street fight lol.
ОтветитьSo amazing guys keep up the work loving this
ОтветитьThis is so awesome loving this♥️🙏
ОтветитьAnd 🕺 that people is how easy it is for a professional martial artist ,to learn a new element. Look how fast he was able to get it and apply it in a practical way . And no not every pro fighter knows that , only the ones with high fight iq do
ОтветитьBeautiful video. Big thanks for supporting good Wing Chun.
ОтветитьStephen can’t use Bil Gee in UFC it’s against the UFC rules
ОтветитьDon’t keep your defense hand so close to your face. It can be overpowered. ? There’s no backfist in Wing Chun
ОтветитьJust because Stephen is taller don’t punch up to his face. Keep your punches centerline.
ОтветитьFor proper Wing Chun position keep your elbows always forward of your torso even when you’re not hitting or doing anything else.
ОтветитьThat looked fast!
ОтветитьLee is serious with his training 💪. I'm impressed with just watching his technique 😳.I'm Superboys a awesome student also
ОтветитьWonderboy has such positive youth minister vibes
ОтветитьKevin Lee is really giving a everyone that is very useful in a fight within just a short range. I'm really Impressed that wingchun still exist, continue on sharing great stuff like that
ОтветитьI think wing chun particularly good for the small figures at a confined space, because their techniques are focusing on how efficient and effective to exert eruptive energy at a sudden and short occurrence with a surprise. People with shorter limps will have an edge at a close distance to make more motions without exposed himself for dmg.
