Scarlet & Violet Pokémon Card Crafting Guide for TCG Live

7k credits currently, something tells me I won't be able to afford much 🙁

It's so funny that the UI in this game is so poor that we need a tutorial on how to craft cards.

The first time I had to craft new cards, I was so confused on how to craft different prints of cards and use a mix of different prints in the same deck because the system of toggling between different prints is so unintuitive.

And the annoying part is if you import a deck, the game is not smart enough to detect when you own a different print of one of the cards than the one you've imported, so you have to toggle over to the print you have, add those copies, and then toggle back to the version that you imported and delete those copies. If you remove the imported copies first, you have to go back into the search, find the card you need, and then toggle the copy you own.

Waaaay more effort than necessary.

As a software engineer--not how I would have designed the system...but hey, not my game, lol.

Use Boost shake instead of Indeedee😂

They need to give us WWAAAAYYYYYY more credits if they want this game to stay alive, the gift they gave us lasted not even a day for me

i am pretty excited for wugtrio mill deck and Tatsguri doondozo deck! i have almost 60k credits so i just dont have to worry about anything!

Gonna hold off on crafting until I complete the battle pass. Good chance we'll get most of the cards through the free packs.

I ended up pulling 2 Gyarados ex's during a pre-release and had so much fun with it that I really want to build a deck around it. Sure it won't be competitive but it'll be fun.

If I am just starting out on Pokémon TCG should I start on live or PTCGO? Can I use all these code cards from
Packs on PTCGL?

Accidentally blew 2400 gems today in Live when I was looking at the final tier of the battle pass. Love it.

After spending so long thinking the power level of modern PTCG was insane, to learning that it's mostly meh, this new set feels way weaker than anything from Sword & Shield.

I'm afraid my 60k credits I've been building up for the last year will disappear pretty fast. Maybe the devs will realize the economy and currency system need a refresh as well.

You like scarlet and violet because it releases a new mechanic and several new powerful cards. I like it because of spidops ex. We are not the same

Does the cost of crafting cards change as cards get older? Or why would you be incentivized to craft these Day 1?

It's a shame falinks V rotated. Koriadon ex would have increased its consistency tenfold.

Dondozo/Tatsugiri will be the best deck out of SV base set… you heard it here first

Don't forget, you can use Forest Seal Stone with Path in play. No need to search vacuum with Arven

Hahahaha. I've been running an Eletricity deck with Emolga and regi eletric for damage boost and that energy acceleration item will make this absolutely disgusting.

I'm pretty new to the live game, is the pass the only way to get credits? I can't see myself putting together a new deck with the 2k I've got left...

Crafting is great however they need to add trading into the game to help make it easier to get cards even if they do trade lock cards

What are the starter decks for the battle pass?

I just started the game last night, pulled some mega EX cards and they are nowhere to be found. Does anyone know where they went, or how to find them?

What will happen with existing tool cards? Will we be able to use existing ones or will we have to get reprints that have the new errata on the art. I.e choice belt is legal but no reprint with tool errata on the artwork

Magnezone is pretty fun too use and if you get it ready asap you do alot dmg

Got a ton of pre release pack codes so I’m hoping to pull a lot of stuff from there and then craft the rest

i wasted my credit cause of some bug which make the exchange fail but still used up your credit and if you craft again u will gain the failed, it means you can have double cards which is annoying... i didnt get to finish the deck that i wanted to play... im wont be playing this game anymore... until bug, the sluggish animation, and they auto skip your turn gets fixed...

Can we redeem scarlet and violet codes at 30th or at 31 of march? Does anybody know it exactly?

Interested to play w Klefki a bit. And of course Gardee is the best deck out of the set so far.

Good work on how to upgrade the free decks and it helps the beginners a lot!

Good thing we can get some useful bulk out of PTCGO before migrating, such as Nest Ball, to save craft points. Although those are probably gonna be collected when opening rewards packs... Which >cannot be exchanged into credits< on-demand, grrr...

We really need some way to get more credits because it would take hours to get enough to be able to craft popular decks

I will start playing the TCG live by only playing silver border cards

the battlepass is going so slow and also ranked progress is pointless
