How did you guys afford such an expensive, huge boat? I've been dreaming of living the life you are living for more than 5 years and I can't even save up enough for a 30 foot boat. I had 16k saved up and then Covid hit and wiped it all out. I've got MS now, so the symptoms suck. No one donates to my go fund me and I have very few Patrons. Seems like most sailing channels are people who start out with tons of money. I highly doubt I'm getting a 47 foot sailboat any time soon. Be Lucky to get a 30 foot sailboat. Thing is, I'm 100% willing to take on a project and rebuild something for several years and put in tons of sweat equity, but no one is willing to part with their vessel, even if it is trash, for less than 10k. Any tips on how to get onto a sailboat or where to find deals, I'm all ears.

I am now 69. When five and a half my dad was in Army and he got transferred to France where we lived 4 years. Came back to states and then to Germany for two years. I LOVED France and French food but never been backroads France. Great memories.
