AC Odyssey feels even better in 2023

odyssey could have come out yesterday and it would feel new. that's the absolute state of open world video games 💀

I had 70 hours put into Odyssey, but I stopped playing it in 2020 when Valhalla. I have about 100 hours put into Valhalla and yesterday I decided to go back to Odyssey. I have to say that after coming back to Odyssey, it's a much better game. The towns in Odyssey feel more alive than Valhalla. The ship travel and combat is so good. And I feel like the combat is more satisfying in Odyssey. There are things I prefer in Valhalla like the ability tree, as well as some of the collectable puzzles and side content, but the main game of Odyssey is much better than Valhalla imo.

I remember when this game came out everyone gave it crap for being boring and unfinished.... oh how naive we were

Beat it back when it came out. Now I’m replaying as a bridge for Mirage, and personally, as an RPG centered around assassins creed, it’s a beautiful game, combat is fun, just beautiful

I started playing it yesterday and I’m addicted love Greek mythology

I love absolutely everything about this game. I’m on my fifth play through right now. Finally decided to play as Elexios for the first time, and let me tell you, he does not disappoint! I just got past the part where you kill you’re step-pater (the wolf) and then you can spartan kick his adopted son off the cliff right after 😂 man I don’t get why this game gets so much hate. One of my favorites in the whole series

Odyssey and Origins

In 2019 people keep complaining about this game is bad but when 2023 people said this game is good

Odyssey is straight garbage, you have to hit each enemy 500+ times no exaggeration, not only that, an npc only 2 to 3 levels higher than you can kill you in two hits sometimes one, this game is azz when it comes to combat and levels in the game, there’s no reason to play this game when I have a bounty for doing a mission but the mercenaries going after me are always 5 levels ahead of me

Am I the only one who plays with Alexios? ☠️I see all AC Odyssey players playing with Kassandra and idk why

The AC Odyssey creators should go through and fix all the unobtainable loot in this game. There are multiple dozens of places where this game wasted time trying to pick up loot that is just unreachable, while right in front of you. They should be ashamed of the high number!

I know this game kinda strays a bit from the original AC storyline but come on being a Spartan in Ancient Greece is so fucking badass. Still prefer Origins but I loved Odyssey and it’s WAYYYYY better than Valhalla

My favourite game of all time

Might be a very unpopular opinion but Odyssey did what Witcher 3 couldn’t do for me, that was to hook me right away, or even just to hook me in general. Played 20 hrs of W3 and still not felt that “awh yeah I’m hooked” moment but with Odyssey I felt it in the first hour.. all the hype of W3 made me expect to get hooked right away but even after some days of playing, it didn’t happen. W for Odyssey for me !

Doing a second playthrough right now. It's still so great. After this, Origins because it's just sitting there in my library and I haven't touched it yet.

My only complaint is that there are no Hoplon shields.

I did enjoy this as an ancient Greece RPG, however it's a terrible Assassin's Creed game and the grinding is ATROCIOUS.

Hands down ironically the best AC game of all time. Also big hit in the AC story.

I cant wait for Mirage. I miss the old Black Flack, Origins, Brotherhood days. hopefully Mirage can give us alittle bit of that again

Love this game, such a beautiful country love exploring games like this, I like old style ac and new style ac, if you like history then you'll love exploring this game, I know this map on this game is huge but wish I could explore thessaloniki and Rhodes during this time period which isn't in the game BTW for those who haven't played it but anyway you won't be disappointed, the story is just one of the best too

Honestly I love this game . It’s a beautiful open world with loads to do tons of gear that you can make your character look however you want plus you get a bit of a history lesson with the real world lore mixed with fantasy. The ocean is my favorite. So amazing driving in the living ocean. Not perfect obviously but man can you get lost in this game .

Just bought this game a couple weeks ago on the series X with all the DLC I'm about 45 hours in and just found alexios mother and as someone who prefers long open world games I have to admit this game is dense AF and I love it.. right before finding the mother I found this Cultist woman preparing to sacrifice a baby, I had a choice save the kid or chase down And take out the woman: I chose to take down the woman LOL I'm trying to make my playthrough the most dishonorable but also with honor sprinkled throughout😈

I am on my 4th play through of Oddyssey, still one of my favorite games.

I'm currently replaying the game, it's a marvel from a technical perspective. Everything is just so fluid and seamless.

I just finished Valhalla and while I liked the settlement and some of the arcs the whole game felt like a bloated movie game while Odyssey is a game I can spend hundreds of hours just free roaming and doing side quests and not get bored because the gameplay loop is so strong. I think AC Odyssey is honestly Ubisoft's Skyrim

this literally isnt even an ac game at this point, its just an open world ancient greece game with the branding of ac to get more sales

this game in 4k is insanely beautiful and detailed on an oled monitor/TV and fun to play on pc. it looks so damned good with the highest quality settings! i've chosen kassandra and she fits perfectly as the main character. if you like ac or games like HZD - just play and have fun. nice and entertaining video!

What's amazing is that I recognized the vantage point at the start. Such a large world, but so many details keep every area interesting.
The Robin and the Kingfisher is an awesome quest, as well.

I've spent almost 200 hours in this game... Sure, there are some very repetitive elements. But after you understand you don't have to do everything when you get to a new location, you'll truly enjoy the game... Take your time and discover the world through the quests.
My only complaint is the structure of some quests...specially the ones you have to go to point B and, after the job is done, return to point A just to tell someone you got the job done... It's a waste of time.

The mission you played where the husband and wife theater team is interesting. You can actually spare them both if you snipe all of the bandits from afar rather than just walk up to them. I love that about Odyssey, where you can change outcomes based on things like that.

I hated the combat in Valhalla.

Ac origins was so good that I 100% completed it but for whatever reason didn't get very far in odyssey but I did just restart it so I'm gonna give it a 2nd try.
