Here in Mordor, I've heard it referred to as "the 17 moments of spring" set in the star wars universe, which is a major praise (as 17 moments of spring is a popular Soviet series about a soviet intelligence officer impersonating an SS Standartenfuehrer, which is highly regarded until this day).

I think many times there is a misunderstanding between what is fan service and what is just a reference.

Andor was more enjoyable than all the other shows, but it was also so bleak and heartless that I don’t think I could watch another season. There are no real heroes and there’s never any fun or joy and that kind of spoils the good Star Wars mood as much as the weaker shows do.

I would like to take a moment of your day to just briefly mention the score and what it has done for me.

At work I'm sitting often with headphones and may listen to all things with no judgement being passed on me. I have consistently and over a lengthy period of time chosen the score for Andor. Often, it makes a tolerable day into a very enjoyable one.

It is good, and I enjoy listening to it.

I'm sure other commenters already pointed this out, but I would like to note that there is a little bit of easter-eggery and fanservice, but it's tastefully done. All blink-and-you-miss-it stuff that contributes to the texture of the world without being distractingly thrown in the viewer's face, e.g. the Gungan shield in the background of the antique shop.

Andor was definitely one of the best pieces of star wars media. Can't wait for a part two. Hopefully they do this, and learn that there's a whole universe to be creative with, and not just le rebels vs bad guise. Which I kind of wish this show had less to do with the rebels. I'm so sick of rebellion vs empire. There are so many other things to focus on.

This show was OK but I had long since given up on Star Wars in the Disney age. Full respect to folks who like it, but even the best of the Mandalorian was still extremely boring to me. I thought the Boba Fett series was a joke.

Apart from Andor, Star Wars is Star Wars lite/ watered down for those who want simple bright shiny stuff, not thinking too hard whilst posing, thinking look at this and me looking cool with Star Wars tropes about Star Wars on a super basic level. More power to those people who think in that manner.

Those people who like the watered down Star Wars, it's likely they don't know history of Franco, Mussolini, Pinochet, Mao, Amin and more. They likely have a history depth no more than 10 years or it's impacts so it's likely they will steer away from mature storytelling.

This provides multiple challenges to a property, the element of quantity over quality and a steady dying brand that eventually finds it hard to stay relevant as it has no depth/ details and the so called consumers then moving onto the next shiny objects.

One thing I noticed in Andor, is they sort of depict how something that is badly designed by the lowest bidder can cause big problems. In one of the prison episodes there is an easily broken wall, which is coupled with an electric floor that apparently has no drainage.
