I think he intentionally without a doubt fueled her paranoia and convinced her everyone even her most trusted staff were paid to spy on her. This led to her refusing security and to her wanting revenge. I think his lies colored her entire interview and fueled her decisions the rest of her life which resulted in her death He was disgusting and has blood on his hands.

A lie is telling falsehoods and/or omitting what you know to be the truth. The spin and manipulation of these journalists and there “half truths” given the context with which this interview took place is simply a disgrace. Journalism majors at uni should have to learn about this event as an example of a massive failure of journalistic integrity and professionalism.

I think what he did was wrong, very wrong but I think it played very well in Diana’s favor because she got to tell her story before she passed.

Trouble is so much of the information given by Diana is untrue - plus she was hardly as 'put upon' as her she wanted to look by doing her own make-up. Every now & then she would stop speaking & think.....I don't know if what I'm saying sounds right - she would then jump up & pace around the room asking Bashir & the crew what they thought about different ways of saying what she wanted people to know - then she would giggle, throw herself back in the chair & try to look put upon again

Wow, imagine a time when there was such a thing as journalistic integrity. The American media ran a multi-year smear on Trump called Russiagate that lacked any hard evidence at all. When it fell apart, there were no investigations or apologies or concerns over lost trust with the audience. Getting Trump outweighed any sense of professionalism.

I still believe Bashir, I think there has been a great deal of lying after the fact. I don’t trust the BBC nor the Royal family, neither are authentic and can be trusted.

What’s so sad is she was so young when she married charles and she truly did love him. He didn’t love her. He loved someone else. He knew better she didn’t. She was fooled into thinking she was going to live happily ever after. It’s really sad that they forced people to marry certain types of partners because that’s what royals did. She never deserved anything that happened to her and I was so happy when she got away. What is so sad is when she was finally happy she died. I applaud Harry for walking away. His mother would also have been proud of him.
