may i ask why hydra and guardian angel? i'm not very good at belveth, but i tend to go bork, kraken, guinsoo, bloodthirster and then lord doms or a different crit item

For more efficient sticking power, take blue smite and ghost (instead of flash).
Red smite is pretty bad since it's last nerf, and blue smite speeds you up while slowing someone down.
Ghost has reset power.

My build everytime i play her is: Kraken slayer, defensive boots, Blade of the Ruined King, Deaths Dance, Bloodthirster, last item i go either spirit visage if they have some ap damage (also increases heals and shields from BT), or Serylda's Grudge.
If they have a fed AP burst then I sometimes go witt's end

It's worth noting that Bel'Veth's Q and E applies on-hit effects, including her R passive's true damage. You don't need to weave two autos in between every ability, you can "bank" that attack speed and take advantage of the ghosting those stacks provide while you chase enemies down.
