ОтветитьI really needed this video, I'm like 8 month into my subtropical food forest journey and have been lamenting lately on not having any fruit to eat still... I'm really excited for my bananas and papayas to produce soon hopefully! I don't have as many as you guys yet though, i need more!!

ОтветитьI saw a video of yourself where you mentioned you have to be careful eating produce grown there due to the slugs and maybe something else that can be poisonous to consume--is this still a concern of yours, or have you found a way to manage/mitigate this risk? Thanks so much!

ОтветитьAdd some Moringa trees! Also, coconut trees, we have both on Oahu... maybe some bees, and replace the sugar with honey. Also maybe soursop trees! Bread fruit etc..

Ответитьgrowth some bitter melon , winter melons , asian sponge gourd, asian sweet potatoes, they kinds really fast in couples month, then you have alot to stir fry

I grow oranges limes lemons Tahitian limes lilicoi star fruit papayas pineapples soursop figs bread fruit mangos guava beside the stupid small guavas that are like weeds lol. Lychee coffee obviously bananas lol all with very little maintenance. Other crops i pull 3 to 4 times a year are corn pole bean bok choi turnips brussell sprouts radishes Yeah list gos on haha. And obviously taro. Thats just like a weed. Taro is like a weed. If you can kill that you have a black thumb lol. But no all seriousness just telling you want is successful up here in Mt view.

ОтветитьAhh I’m in the navy rn but my plan is to become a park ranger on the big island, I love the life style and I plan to do the same, I’m soon to be stationed in Hawaii so imma be looking around for property. I’d love to sit down at some point during my travels and talk to y’all about the best way to start everything potentially get some help from mike 👉👉
