Truly stunning video. I am so grateful for this channel. Just phenomenal, nothing compares. Thank you for the amazing content!
ОтветитьLove the videos
ОтветитьI watched this one too many times to list. The campsite on day 5 is on my bucket list.
Ответитьthose two young bull moose were most likely siblings just play acting; not really fighting seriously
ОтветитьThanks for another great video. We used to camp near the boat launch and fish White Lake a few times a year before covid came and we ended up gettjng a seasonal campsite on Dog Lake. Keep the great trips coming. You are an inspiration and one day i am going to set out on my own canoe or kayak adventure from Missanabie. Nothing big but i would luv to do a trip across the watershed to Chapleau. I am getting older so nothing to huge. Just take my time and see where it gets me
Ответить😅😅😅 funny ending. This was a beautiful video...gorgeous scenery...i loved it all. Oh, and the wolf...wow, so glad you captured it with the camera...what a thrill.
ОтветитьLike you, I think it's better to film wildlife than kill it ! It's probably very British of me - but I don't like guns.
ОтветитьI remember a dark shape.
I was in SDakota at Custer State park. A cross country trip from Connecticut via an
alternative high school program... Anywho, after around 2 weeks crammed in 2 vans with 20 students and 2 teachers/"drivers", we get ta custer and I need some alone time. Get my fishing rod and head across about a half mile of beautiful prairie, following a small river until I find the perfect spot. Weathered ancient sandstone banks with tans and purples. Perfection. I cast and reel a few times getting lost in the beutiful scenery, until a rock across the river caught my attention. It was under the shade of some trees and I thought to myself, "why did that boulder grab my attention?"
I squint some at it,
and carry on,
until I swear I saw and heard it move a bit.
Not a rock....
A full grown Buffalo. waking up.
pissed off,
at I assume me...
I prob assumed right, because it stood up,
( Holy hell) and began gathering speed towards me.
Chased me plum across the prairie back to where the rest of the humans were.
On my heels snorting, probably
toying with me.
I believe it could have ended me if it wanted to.
Thank you Mr or Mrs Buffalo for the best trip of my life!
Dude you are an ironman. You canoe and then come back to get the cameras
ОтветитьAnother great video. Love your framing and sense of contrast. Having spent some time in the areas of your subject, I have a personal appreciation for your work. Well done.
ОтветитьWow 😳😳😳 this is current one...❤❤❤love it...thank you for uploading new video...I really love to watch your beautiful videos...❤️from the 🇵🇭...
ОтветитьThere you go boy , next you will be giving them a gun to shoot back with bravo. They look better in pictures than on the ground with there tongue out. This is what I call fair chase. Your new njck name is big country
ОтветитьThank you for the glimpse of areas I have never been. Happy for you to see that wolf. How wonderful.
ОтветитьWe are so fortunate to live in such a beautiful country. You are such a go-getter and doing all these solo trips and so brave. I wish I was young again and was able to do such trips. My husband and I did a driving trip thru to sleeping giant from a more Eastern, Ontario, but we really didn't get to really enjoy the scenery. Went to the falls that you have in one of your videos (walk-in accessible). We should have booked a longer trip. Next time.
I hope your knee has healed well.
I know this is 7 months old, but if you want pics of wildlife might want to tone down the vocalizations and noises.
ОтветитьI loved this one! Really got a kick of your ending. Ha ha. It was clever. That flying Pike was unexpected and hilarious 😂
ОтветитьLove your stuff. Jealous over here. Keep on having fun and being adventurous. Watching from Ontario Canada 🎉
ОтветитьAre you kidding me with this photography right now???
ОтветитьHow many fish have you caught on that flicker minnow now?....lol
ОтветитьGosh, that was a good one. The wolf - what a knock out. The eagle nearly hitting you with his pike - priceless. And the stunning Canadian scenery never gets old. Again, the music you use in your videos takes them to the next level. Thank you so much for doing these; they mean a lot.🛶🍁
ОтветитьRefreshing to see someone not shooting these beautiful animals except with a camera 😊…zen
Ответитьwhich canoe seat do you use?
ОтветитьCan you use a foam pad in the Amok?
ОтветитьYou need to incorporate a simple emergency outrigger for rough water !
ОтветитьGreat video as always Jon! If I was moose spotting I would avoid the big lakes and find some long meandering grassy creeks. You can get much closer to a moose in that situation, altough slightly more dangerous. Even if you spot on on a big lake, it'll belong gone before you get close.
That eagle dropping the pike was so cool!
A very fine video - thank you🌲
ОтветитьSo glad to have found your channel - random question, where is the blue/black zip up from - looks just the right level of cozy.
ОтветитьMy husband & I are enjoying your videos so much. We enjoy Superior from the US side, but now we can come into Canada we want to explore it there. Also, thanks for making your videos kid friendly, my grandkids like them. 😊
ОтветитьDamn. I was actually looking forward to an actual hunting video. Disappointing.
ОтветитьLove your videos…the optics,narration,music..it all comes together in a magical way. Needless to say I’m living vicariously through your videos and several others like you and I’m sure you are acquainted with many of them. I’m 71 and thoroughly enjoy seeing places I’ll never visit or see on my own so thank you for sharing your videos and adventures.
ОтветитьHeres something you can learn about firearms it's 30 ought 6. Not 30 zero 6. Just sayin
ОтветитьAwesome 👍
ОтветитьI absolutely love your videos! You really do remind me of Sheldon Cooper! I love how you love animals and nature, you're such a pleasure to watch! Thanks for providing me with such great adventures especially as I have broken my ankle and can't get out! Keep doing what you do you're awesome! ❤
ОтветитьMany years ago in Baxter State Park in Maine I came within 2 feet of being run over by a moose as I walked back to my car about 200 feet for beer ( in the dark) and he was startled as he was rummaging around in nearby vacant campsite. As he ran past me at full speed in the dark I saw his eye flash by me and felt the breeze. One step further on that trail and SMACK! I've seen so many moose in NH it's old hat now. Got a few good pictures and watch for signs...if they drop their ears to the side of their heads watch out. One other time I set up in a boggy area on a rise. I was not paying attention too much when I looked up and a moose was about 60-70 feet away eating and eyeballing me. We watched each other but there was no issue and it wandered away. On Umbagog Lake one started to approach my canoe in shallow water. Big bull and he seemed to have attitude. You never know. Their pretty unpredictable any time of year.
ОтветитьMy goodness I absolutely love your videos.Your my Go Channel on You Tube
ОтветитьOmg I freaked out when you were talking about shooting a moose... I thought "omg this guy thanks fish when he lets them go" and he's going to shoot a moose?!" Then I laughed so hard. PHEW! Love your videos!
ОтветитьSeeing a wolf is way better than seeing a moose. I totally agree 100 percent 🙌❤️😍
ОтветитьWay behind on your videos bud. That is awesome you got to see a Wolf! Awesome video as always Jon.
ОтветитьGreat video ! Film, really. Amazing footage. That ending was hilarious lol !
ОтветитьIt's been two months and I'm watching it again!
ОтветитьHow do you pack your spices and seasonings?
ОтветитьI saw where you injured yourself. I broke my L1 vertebrae when I lost balance recently. Found an author you might be interested in. His name is Nick Offerman. The book is “Where the Deer and the Antelope Play “. He also has a connection to Wendell Berry who is another great author. I hope your recovery is swift and you are better than before.
ОтветитьLooking for the music acknowledgments. Did I miss them somehow?
ОтветитьI'm binge watching some of your videos. I love this one. I'm recovering from meniscus surgery so I have lots of time! I was suppose to be Canoe camping in Algonquin right now, but oh well. I just got a new lens to "hunt" some moose. It will have to wait. Good luck with your knee injury, hope to see you back in the wild!
ОтветитьDo you ever think about wearing blaze orange during hunting season for your own safety?
Ответить
