May I ask, could you do a tutorial about how can i use all of these knowledge and ideas for using in a songs that not in the jazz standards? Like modern pop songs for example and not to spoil the core of it. Like Stevie Wander, Phil Collins, abba may be and enything else like this. What can I do with it if I just playing alone without bass player, just with singers. Thanks and sorry for my English. You already learned me a lot

I saw Benny Golson last year in Detroit. Quite the storyteller. Charming cat and very musical. On the subject of comping with a bass / drum, a tutorial on a "bop" tune (Confirmation, All The Things You Are, There Will Never Be Another You, etc.) with "vertical" (dense) chord changes would be most helpful. Stay groovy!
