Wow it made me goosebumps 😀❤ you will become a great teacher of your students if you are effective to them, and one thing to become the effective teacher is by listening them, comforting them, and try to feel them that they are belong in your class. And also understand thier situation. Like what said In the video, students have different life in school and life in the outside school.

A great teacher not only make a huge impact in their student lives in the classroom but for life too. Listening is an art That requires attention over talent, spirit over ego, others over self

You've highlighted an important aspect of classroom design and its impact on student engagement and learning. Indeed, the visual environment of a classroom can have a significant influence on students' attention, motivation, and overall learning experience, especially in the case of older elementary and secondary students. Here are some considerations and strategies for creating a more stimulating and welcoming classroom environment:

1. **Colorful and Thoughtful Decor**: Use a variety of colors in the classroom, but do so thoughtfully. Different colors can evoke different emotions and moods. For example, warm colors like red and orange can be energizing, while cooler colors like blue and green can promote a sense of calm. A balanced combination can create a harmonious environment.

2. **Bulletin Boards and Displays**: Create bulletin boards and displays that showcase student work, relevant educational material, and inspirational messages. These can serve as points of interest and discussion within the classroom.

3. **Flexible Seating Arrangements**: Experiment with different seating arrangements to accommodate various learning activities. Flexible seating options, such as bean bags, standing desks, and collaboration spaces, can keep students engaged and comfortable.

4. **Interactive Learning Materials**: Incorporate interactive learning materials, such as whiteboards, smart boards, and educational technology, to make lessons more dynamic and engaging.

5. **Natural Lighting**: Whenever possible, maximize natural lighting in the classroom. Natural light has been shown to positively affect mood and productivity.

6. **Inclusive and Welcoming Decor**: Ensure that the classroom decor is inclusive and welcoming to all students, respecting diverse backgrounds and interests. Consider decorating with posters or materials that reflect different cultures and perspectives.

7. **Plants and Greenery**: Adding some indoor plants or greenery can create a refreshing and calming atmosphere. Plants also have the added benefit of improving air quality.

8. **Thematic Decor**: Consider periodically changing the classroom decor to align with current topics or themes in the curriculum. This can make learning more relevant and engaging.

9. **Student Involvement**: Involve students in the design and decoration of the classroom. This can create a sense of ownership and pride in their learning space.

10. **Minimize Clutter**: While a visually stimulating environment is important, it's also crucial to strike a balance and avoid overcrowding the classroom with excessive decorations or distractions.

11. **Comfortable Furniture**: Ensure that chairs and desks are comfortable and ergonomically designed to support long periods of sitting and learning.

12. **Organizational Tools**: Provide organizational tools like shelves, cubbies, and storage spaces to help students keep their belongings tidy.

Creating an engaging and welcoming classroom environment involves a mix of aesthetics, functionality, and consideration for the needs and preferences of students. When students feel comfortable and inspired in their learning space, it can positively impact their attention, motivation, and overall educational experience.

This is my second lesson at school. I actually teach 7th grades. After having had 2 lessons with them, i struggled with noisy atmosphere in the classroom. But, i tried these methods mentioned during the video, and i managed to attract their attentions. It was so lovely feeling that i am now really proud being a teacher. Thanks a lot TED TALK ❤

Most if not all teachers that I had, helped ruin my self-esteem. Most teachers in the Philippines choose to become teacher because it pays well but don't really have concern for their students.
